Help me get going on my Goals //// 2017: I’m looking for venues in the S.F. Bay Area that would be good for our small electronic improv. trio. We’ve been playing together for a year, and now want to do more in front of audiences. Can you point me at some places open to our beat-driven-bleeps-and-bloops?
You should definitely check in with the Luggage Store Gallery folks who hosted @Toaster’s performance.
Hit me up on slack if you don’t know the Luggage Store dudes, and I’ll put you in touch.
i’m new to the bay area and i’m definitely on the lookout for places that would host these kinds of events. good to know!
I booked a show at the Honey Hive Gallery recently.
Give 'em a shout
Nice folks, free of pretension
I’m actually playing a set at the honey hive on he 27th of this month. Its and all ambient show. I can introduce you to the guys who run the place.
I’m playing on the 23rd!!, but headed back up to Portland for a show on the 25th so won’t be able to see yours
ah you guys are tempting me! as someone who lives in the east bay without a car it’s a bit of a trek (well, even with a car it is), but i’ll see if i can make either of these!
I would be so happy to see fellow lines members at a show. Im busting out the grid for my set monday.
What time does your performance begin on Thursday? I live across the park.
I’ll be there thursday. Looking forward to it.
@disquiet Yes, thank you! I believe at 7p or very close to it, i think i’m opening but i’ll check with my friend
@und.leise So stoked! Please please introduce yourself!
Hope you’re able to make it out! I know intimately the long trek, so no worries if it’s a hassle
Will do, if I can make it. I have a work thing, but if it ends early enough I’ll come by.
I’ll be there in spirit… but sadly can’t make either show (I live/work an hour south).
On the bright side, I will be playing in SF on the 30th in the Luggage Store Gallery Creative Music Series.
in the event it says you’re off the grid…yet you’ll be very much on the grid
this kind of humor really pushes all 64 of my buttons
What’s the latest scoop? I played one night of Resident (https://www.facebook.com/residentmonthly/) the mission at the top of this year, but it’d be pretty cool to swing by and see new stuff. I felt a little more motivated when I had a show to push me a little and would love a little more push.
there is a cool venue in the lower height called underground sf that focuses on electronic music. there is a really cool weekly show called “run the length of your wildness”. im playing there this upcoming monday.
Oh cool! I may try to stop by! I’m such an early bird these days, 9-2 is rough…
I saw Rival Consoles at the Grey Theater (also a pretty cool new venue focused on audio/Visual art and music) which was cool, but by the end, my old (read: boring) bones were sad.
