I’ve got one too, I think I’d prefer a joystick module at this point or for the hp, I would prefer 2 or 3 of the LS. There is some aliasing on the xy position. But you can’t beat the price for xyz control with voltage recording.

Working on some physical modeling zones for a set Saturday night, broke it down the next morning to get ready for a duo set with my friend playing baritone sax and clarinet. So I went with the Walk and Planar for a super gestural case. Loving the fiddling with small case approaches.

Curious to know how you are using the planar these days. I find myself using it the same way (boring old filter cutoff modulation) almost always but know it’s capable of a lot more.

In this case, it’s pretty vanilla. X is pitch, which is sent to offset/attenuverter then uScale then slew on Noise Tools. Y is the FM input on Three Sisters. I want it to this case to be like a weird horn basically. Come out Thursday to Kaiju and hear what Jim and I try to pull off. Fall break = I am leaving the house some!

I have my zoom switch ON the d0. There’s enough room for it and all it takes is one hole. This Mungo thread has a post about this!

Clever use of the Lightplane as a strike surface. Never thought of that before.
Even more so with the addition of a mic.

This is looking and feeling amazing. Will take out the FxDf for crow (on its way), and eventually mount the Please Exist internally with the blind 1u panel as an interface running into two new jacks drilled into the rear (the other Intellijel ones are used as a stereo send/return) and will remove the ModBox to fit another Just Friends in the leftover space.

Yeah I love what you did with yours. It scares me to take the thing apart, given how fragile they seem to be, but that would really be the most convenient solution. What kind of drill did you use for the hole?

I used a standard drill for concrete. Mind you, I bought a replacement panel for the d0 from grayscale and drilled that. I followed the info from the Mungo channel and it worked. Just made sure that the hole would be in a place that doesn’t create a fuss.

I’m considering the LP1 now … I like the idea of being able to strike a different area to get a different result of the strike. And Z would be used as a “velocity” parameter. Nice!

On the left is a System 100m and on the right is a System 100 model 101 and 102. They are my favorite things.

Ive used a borrowed 100m extensively and pretty much learned my modular generative chops on it. It is one of my favourite synths I ever used and when I listen back to those recordings there is something truly special in that vintage tone. Used to chain square LFO’s into each other and into the 172 gate delay for rhythms and that was wild fun.

Nice, I have loved the sound of old Rolands and the slider-centric designs! My experience is limited primarily to Juno 6 and 60 plus SH101, never tried the modulars.

For sure, if you look at my instagram link a few posts afterwards you can see excerpts of the stuff I recorded. Sadly I needed to use my audio interface to run the mic, so my recordings are a little roughshod and mono, but I’m happy with the set. It was a fun setup for the purpose!

My studio is in transition at the moment, moved out of the tall racks and into a more portable solution.

Long in the works. Blackhole Cases in Dayton added a jack and switch so I could get a PSU internally. The Intellijel 4u84 is great but no lid is no good. Hoping to dig into this and potentially play west coast shows next summer with this little dude. Trying to sort out compact solutions for flying.
