My first post, hi everyone! This is the current messy state of my setup minus another half filled case in the process of being rearranged

How are you liking the per|former? Is it already fully usable?

And how about the 6mix? I built one but it had a bunch of noise when muting the right side, which was fixed by adding some resistors. Also still have a little bit of bleed on channel 4.
This was on the 1.0 rev of the board. It seems like these issues should be fixed with the 1.1 rev. Which one do you have?

Simon,
The per|former is superb, I dont want to mess up this thread, but I will post some youtube material created with it on a fresh post tomorrow - a very capable sequencer…

The 6mix has been absolutely fine - I’m not sure which version, but have no isses with noise or bleed that ive noticed - its a hndy little mixer!

Current state of my system after a bit of a reorg. Majority of the modules are DIY, and most of the remaining non-DIY modules are second hand or picked up in sales… probably about as budget conscious as eurorack gets! As a result it does lack the visual cohesion most of the setups on this forum have…

(Though the most recent addition was the ALM mmMidi+expander - maybe a slightly expensive way to avoid the mess of cables coming out of the back of the BSP but definitely worth it.)

Main rack consists of 3 84hp TipTop rails/ears mounted in a cheap 19inch desktop frame, with a fairly self-contained 88hp skiff system for taking around.

Any details on that keyboard? I’ve been thinking of building my first one this year.

A new set and new patch!

And of course, SOUNDS! :headphones:

Dude I love the cluttered aesthetic! To each their own but it’s one of the reasons I got into eurorack.

Thought about selling off much of my euro, but akemie’s castle and akemie’s taiko always suck me back in.

i did it a while ago so i kinda forget all the details but it is a wasd keyboard. very nicely made and durable – works in the snow

I’ve been eyeing the ALM mmMidi for just that reason. Any changed experience besides less cable clutter?

I’m a big fan - whether it’s worth it is up to you and how you value immediacy/usability - for me, having all the BSP’s outputs right there in the track means a huge improvement to workflow, not having to think about plugging/unplugging from the back of the BSP. It incidentally also fixed some double trigger issues I had with some modules (like the Bastl Tea Kick) when using the trigger outs directly from the BSP.

Really nice sounds there! Do you have this on modular grid by any chance? I’m intrigued by the euroSerge…

this looks fun! how’s the timbre?

Very cool! What are you sequencing it with?

…and it fixed a double trigger issue? That’s all I needed to hear. Got that beautiful pair of modules on order.

Thanks, it is! The timbre is really good. I have an 0-coast and it has a very different sound to the wave folder on that. You can’t sweep the odds and even harmonics like you can on the 0-coast, but it does sound good and like its Buchla counterpart when paired with the STO.
It was also my first (and only, so far) DIY module. I made some changes to resistor values, as suggested in the build guide, to make it work with Eurorack signal levels, and ordered the parts myself to build the PCB and panel. Amazingly it worked first time! I have an oscilloscope which I used to calibrate the single variable resistor, but I think you could do it easily by ear.

Thanks. The short answer is that I also have a Beatstep Pro. One of the other two answers is that I like to self patch it for ā€œdrones and pulsesā€. I could do with a clock generator and / or divider for this and I have a design for an Arduino based one rattling around in my head.
The third answer is that I also have a MPC 1000 (free from a friend!), which I use to feed samples into the Phonogene and also use a short click sample as a trigger, so I can sequence gates opening or envelopes firing from one of the 4 outs of the MPC.

I’m still at the learning and developing stage at the moment, but I’m sure I could record an entire album (or three) with the Make Noise modular and MPC 1000.

My little corner has gotten rather cramped but I’m usually having too much fun to notice.

I just added a number of VCAs as I was sorely lacking in them for far too long. Only a day after they got here and the difference in control over everything is like night and day.

The only thing I’m really sad about is that my Metron had to make its third trip to Denver because of unresponsive buttons on the sequencer. Hopefully that’ll be back soon though!
