I like it a lot, for the most part.

Positives are the sound, which is excellent, and its unique and creative interface, which manages to be pretty intuitive once you’ve had some time with it. It sounds really amazing as a pitch shifting delay, too.

Negatives are the bugs, which Instruo has been pretty good about addressing with firmware updates, but I still encounter issues every once in a while. And I wish it were larger–this is the sort of module I’d have no problem sacrificing more hp for if it meant having a bit more room to play with the controls and have full sized knobs for everything instead of trim pots.

It’s a very DIY job. First layer is permanent black marker followed by acrylic paint. Good from far, nearish okayish.

Results of the latest round of Tetris with my modular case. No new modules in - just striving to improve my workflow. No more space = no new modules unless something is outgoing (no urge to buy another case either!). 4 years deep into modular now & in the entire time, I’ve only sold off 1 module that was taking up more room than I could justify for its use (4ms SMR) & traded out 1 (makenoise STO, which someone who had a mangrove outgoing wanted). I am loving the current incarnation of this case & digging deep into what I have.

My system is almost full and I refuse to sell anything. I have a 4MS SMR and I can totally see why so many people don’t like it. It’s very easy to make things that sound like a 4MS SMR, but getting it to do anything else takes a bit of work and diving in to all the other “stuff” that’s potentially hidden in other modes. It’s a bit like the complaint about Rings sounding like Rings when you don’t excite it with anything external.

I use a Ultimate Stands amp stand. Use it with my 10u 126hp and it’s super stable. I did modify it to lean back a bit less (cut the front legs down). Love it. It fits in my backpack as well. UltimateSupport: AMP-150

Awesome. I also cut down the arms that fold down to hold the case / amp as I hated them being in my way. Easily done with a hacksaw with a metal cutting blade.
