Re-arranging and re-patching before a gig in April. Tried to make this a bit more logical, and hopefully ergonomic. Also added a Soleo Vero tuner to reduce pre-gig stress And the Blackhole Rom, mainly for the shimmer algorithm.

Lots of consolidation, selling, trading going on in the last few months. This feels like I’ve reached a point where I don’t really feel like I need anything else, but I can accomplish a lot of different things depending on how I patch. Feels over kill to be in a 9u case with a whole row empty, but I’m patiently waiting until I find the perfect 6u 84hp case, or find the right power supply to build my own.

My case is full and I have some exploring to do before I think about any new modules. I maybe have one-too-many sound sources, but modular is all about working within/around/beyond limitations right?

I have three W/ that I use daily at this point. They are central to my setup. Started out with one and loved the compositional possibilities with it, so I bought one more at a time when they popped up for good deals in the trade section here. All of my w/ are set to dub.that. I use channel 2 & 3 of maths as my feedback knobs. My standard patch sounds similar to what @voidstar describes, I’ll run a simple voice or two into one looping W/ (set to generate -5/+5v ramp on this) then out to Cold Mac…

talked about it a bit in the w/ topic, but, generally, I’ll have one w/ running through the panning section of cold mac to other two set up as a stereo pair.

I think using your system - I would be scared of the top racks falling over when I was patching/unpatching. Do you find them a bit wobbly when set up like this?

Put decent rubber feet on all the Doepfer cases - I can plug stuff in without anything falling over - can wobble a little - 2x monster cases would be nice - but can’t justify the cost

Preparing for my first ever solo electronic show at Modular on the Spot next month! I think my patch is ready and I just need to continue to figure out exactly what I want to “say” with it and keep practicing at this point. T-minus 14 days! I’m very excited (and nervous).

I use them with my twin BSP setup. Considered getting modular brains instead (same thing, only in the rack) for convenience. Great little boxes no doubt!

Here’s one of my cases. I still need to do some changes on this. I’ll replace the Serge Resonant EQ with a Random Source version and add a CG Products delay in there, if I can find any of these two modules second hand any time soon. Also plan to grab some upcoming stuff to put on the sides. MN said I’m voiding my warranty if I mod their side panels, but who cares.

This setup is a physical modeling haven for me. I’m pairing it with a Zoom R8 for recording/playback and I’m good to go!

I’ve been in the process of building a custom 11U 84hp case for about a month now, it’s been a slow process with a CNC learning curve for me. I’ve organized my two control skiffs real well though! By the end of this month I’ll be able to post the full case.

I finally jumped into modular last week. This is just a start, with lots of room for expansion once I figure out where I want to go with it. Mainly playing with East Coast patches for the moment.
