Haha, yeah, thankfully. it should be said that I don’t have any other hardware synths, I really like how it’s all just synced up and working - back when I had more synths here and there, making everything stay in sync and work as it should was a nightmare.

I love that case, DIY or…?

I posted this a few days ago in The Tiny Studio Corner Thread, but just today I realized that there were a few things holding me back - first of all, that the RackBrute Link System is not very good at holding up a system except at certain angles, and was also the limiting factor on my rather shallow desk. At the same time, I realized that I wanted to bring my system out of my room to play elsewhere in the house.

So, I flipped the whole thing over. The link system now keeps the case firmly against the wall, as well as acting as a handle with which I can pick it up. I’m waiting on a Befaco OUT V3, but other than that, I’m very happy with the current configuration. I also figured out that jackd on Linux is smart enough to do the majority of what I want from the system automatically; my Sol connects to the BSP automatically when either is unplugged, and JACK also round-trips audio from my interface, because for some ungodly reason the PreSonus Studio 26c doesn’t support stereo monitoring.

The one slightly unusual piece here is the small unpanelled crack in the case (sorry, Dieter), which allows me to access the Winterbloom Big Honking Button’s sample library and the memory of my Ornament and Crime without removing either from the case. In order to take it off my desk, I need only unplug the 3 USB cables and the stereo outs, and the whole things lifts right off the (rather janky) custom wood stand.

Is that Endorphin.es Milky Way chart of your own design?

It is! I love the milky way, but it’s the only module in this system whose modes I can’t recall off the top of my head.

That is so great. Have you posted it in detail somewhere? I’m sure folks would benefit from it.

Good call, @disquiet! I went ahead and posted it in the Eurorack thread.

Thank you! Good eye on my west vibe. My inspiration was one part buchla easel and one part dream groove box.

not diy, i got it from a shop in Seoul called octomo (: really great ppl highly recommend but i think their international business has mostly been put on hold w the pandemic

Thanks for the info. I’ve been looking for something that size in the states. P

Latest iteration of the franken-modular.

Turns out that I missed some Euro modules, and decided to get rid of the Easel Command and re-acquire some of those.

I don’t mind patching between the two formats so much. It means that there is a hilarious proliferation of cables, but that’s part of the charm maybe.

The two Serge panels are custom LW ones. I have had them for a little more than a month, and while it’s taken me a bit of time coax Sing to Me*'s 258s to a place that I love, I think we are starting to get along very well. The sequencer panels is called Angel of the Morning. It was why I had originally reached out to Charlie, after falling in love with R*S’s Sequencer / Programmer module (which I still have, although not currently setup here) & seeing some of the other variations on the Serge sequencer that had vertical step control in addition to horizontal. I love it, and I’m still only scratching the surface.

On the Euro-side I’m concentrating on the ER-301 as a sampler, triggered via signals from the Angel of Morning step pulse outputs, or more explicit control via the ER-101; and processed via the MMF-1s. I do plan to add a mono, semi-modular voice in Euro format as well.

*= I call it a Sing to Me because that’s a fairly well-known panel, but technically it’s a slightly altered version of it called Orange Street Special.

ps - ^ this is all of my banana cables :man_facepalming:

I changed up my Lubadh based system this weekend and I’m really enjoying this arrangement. Slightly inspired by the Make Noise tape and microsound systems.

Recorded this short bit with a kalimba last night (and added some reverb in post)

Really nice to have all those utilities in there. How do you like the lubadh?

I like it a lot, for the most part.

Positives are the sound, which is excellent, and its unique and creative interface, which manages to be pretty intuitive once you’ve had some time with it. It sounds really amazing as a pitch shifting delay, too.

Negatives are the bugs, which Instruo has been pretty good about addressing with firmware updates, but I still encounter issues every once in a while. And I wish it were larger–this is the sort of module I’d have no problem sacrificing more hp for if it meant having a bit more room to play with the controls and have full sized knobs for everything instead of trim pots.

Here is my current small system I’m using to learn Teletype. I am new to this group and Teletype and really appreciate all of the information stored in this group!
