Thanks. I constantly wonder if the investment would be worth it… it’s so expensive

I absolutely hear you on that. I picked it up recently after much thought and got it for what I consider to be an OK price. I’m working hard not to get bogged down in the possibilities. I’ve had one or two ‘ah ha’ moments this week with it and it does seem to offer something that other sample manipulation modules haven’t given me in the past.

Yeah I do get the feeling that there’s an itch that it scratches that nothing else can

I think that is my favorite Serge panel I have seen. Is the panel screen printed?

Very nice to hear, thank you :slightly_smiling_face:

It is screen printed, which was a bit of a journey to get such a large print completed manually - the set-up cost for an automated print would have been way to expensive for such a “small” job (had three printed total). There are a couple of errors that I had to live with because the likelihood of getting it printed again seemed to be zero - c’est la vie!

After five years of chopping, changing and being forever distracted by shiny new modules, I’ve started my depth year this October. Less IS more, for my tendencies. This is the small but perfectly formed modular system I’m committing to learn better, and stick with for twelve months.

Posting this is a way of affirming my commitment to myself. Now, if I may falter, there’s some cost of shame from knowing I pledged publicly.

Repeating my mantra:

I have everything I need to make incredible music,
I have everything I need to make incredible music,
I have everything I need to make incredible music…

I finished developing my instrument. It is embellished by norns and 0-CTRL, as well as some standalone Error Instruments synths.

Been loving this little system paired with the iPad (which mixes and processes all my sound sources in AUM).

Little drum machine mini case. Shame the drum module is too deep for the case, but it works fine.

Oh my, add spacers! That module better not be resting on the metal case.

That’s a good point, actually! I will do that.

I totally get this. I have generally changed setup too much in the last few years, always having to learn new modules which affects my creative flow. Your post has inspired me to also stick to the same setup, and really get deep into it, without always getting distracted by new shiny things

Newest things are:
Tyme Sefari Mk2 - Really amazing and lives up to the hype. Onre minute I think it’s dull, the next I have some magical sound or soundscape just from a simple vocal loop.
Serge NTO - I have finally accepted that digital VCO’s are not for me, and got the NTO to complete my trio. Loving the tone so far, need to get into experimenting with FM and self patching.
Akai Force - Using as a glorified recorder, layering up sync’ed passes in the arranger mode, and it’s working really great for that.

I love the case! I’m curious who makes it, unless it’s your own creation?

I placed an anti-static bag under the module in the end, as I didn’t have any suitable hex spacers to hand.

Good enough, but probably very awkward to play/patch a module that it’s not fixed. A little box of M3 brass standoffs will make for a final solution IMO.

I believe some of those anti static bags are conductive :grimacing:

It was made by DNGR Tech. They don’t make this model anymore, not sure if they make any cases at all.

It’s an amazing case, folds closed patched and has a dimable LED strip.
