Realized I haven’t shared a picture of my updated system. Still a few modules to replace with their 200e counterparts, but I can safely say this is my dream electronic instrument and I feel so incredibly fortunate every time I sit down to play with it!

First gig this year. Another one coming up Friday, October 25th.

Really thankful to get back into community spaces and playing shows.

I ended up grabbing a Tascam FR-AV2 was able to record the set, too. Everything went through an old Radioshack mixer (no judgement please, using what I have!) and ran into a Chroma Console to glue it up/add FX, then into the Tascam (recording + setting the levels) and out to the speakers.

Another musician and I soundtracked Jean Painlevé’s early underwater films with a couple DJ sets in between. It was awesome. Next show is themed ‘Art & Ambience’ where we’ll play while show attendees will be able to use collage material and create art while we play.

What are you using to connect your system to the iPad?

What is your case? Looks fantastic. Does it come with the recessed light strip on top?

ES-9 (audio interface) and sometimes the OP-1F (audio interface and/or standalone recorder).

ES-9 on the big synth, ES-10 > Arturia AudioFuse on the downstairs synth.

Following (very good) advice, both here and from other sources, I’ve added stand-offs to my AD110 so it doesn’t short stuff out if it makes contact with the bottom of the case.

I’ve added a Ladik “Bouncer” module too, which is a lot of fun to add even more rhythmic wonkiness.

I know the DivSkip can also do bouncing trigger bursts, but I wanted to try the Bouncer too. I have one channel of the DivSkip in clock-divider mode, feeding the trigger input of Bouncer.

Updated.
Featuring Sequenc-o-rama on the left.
The right side is now using the Toppobrillo Eurobus power system (not visible).

A combo of pattern generators, compact utilities, and hands-on mixing. I keep it fairly fixed + swap FX and sound sources in/out occasionally. It travels with me in a suitcase and with enough practice it feels quite like an instrument

I love the thickness of the case and color.

Oh I think there’s an optical illusion created from the top-down cam angle! — the coffee table surface looks like a wooden case, it is actually thin (but sturdy) black metal—two connected Tall Dog skiffs.

Finally finished this instrument! Well, still need to add switches to Ears in the utility row.

Here are some sounds I just recorded, also using Rene, Phonogene, the Manhattan Steiner filter, and my effects setup.

whats the tiny case for rene? surely you haven’t been asked that countless times

It’s pretty hacky. :upside_down_face:
I actually posted about it a while ago: Make Noise modules: design, usability, theory, philosophy, etc - #1437 by listentoaheartbeat

Could you say something more about the patch i love the sizzling sounds in it

Ow and the custom 0.5U strok is really nice looks like ears uPeaks and dvca right?

Thank you!

The sizzling sounds are the melodic voice (coming from Rings) processed using Phonogene’s Broken Echo mode. The result is also sent to a really dirty spring reverb (tank driven by headphone amp, amplified using a Behringer Tube Ultragain). The bubbly stuff is Plaits tuned extremely low through Beads. Some of the effect loops on my mixer are feeding into each other, lost track of what’s going where.

Custom panel contains Ears, Barton VC Clock Divider, uPeaks, and After Later Monocle. In hindsight I could have done without uPeaks since Stages kind of covers envelopes and LFOs, I rarely use it in more complex configurations.

Nice! looks like we all should process rings more  I sometimes run it through some bitcrushing and then filtering which i really like. The plaits part also sounds really good should try it out here.

Well i actually didnt like the envelope shape in peaks in the end i only used the base drumm and high hat which i reaaaly liked (more then plaits BD HH). Try it
