Finally got ansible and grid running after a crazy week. Feeling really good about my current case configuration right now. Time to do some serious grid studies :slightly_smiling_face:

Beautiful. Do you have any more images, different angles? Interested in your case.

Lovely. And you made me spend £60 on white cables. Thanks

Moved into a 7u yesterday. Picked up a Mixup this morning. Thinking I’ll add the Scope and Noise Tools down the road. Probably going to replace the Qpas with a Teletype.

Standoffs, plexi and knurlies make a great and fairly simple protective cover! That’s a nicer solution than some of the solves I’ve attempted for small skiffs.

You’ve convinced me to build a case. That’s lovely. Truly very nice.

same here! @autreland really beautiful case you’ve got there. lovey work.

May I ask what material you used and how you welded the sheets together?

thank you—you’re both very kind!

the shell is aluminum construction.

i personally welded exactly none of it—rather, it was cad-modeled and sent to a local metalworker for realization.

How big of a job in working hours would something like this be to a skilled metal worker if I may ask?

i wouldn’t think more than two or three—my understanding is it’s quite a simplistic job by their standards.

This looks great! I like the design of shallow cases. I have two submodularsystems cases, but with Intellijel TP 80W power one of the two rows is even more shallow, so it’s annoying that lots of modules just don’t fit where I would like to place them. How deep is your case and what power are you using?

I believe the case is 53 cm deep (I requested the depth based on what was listed for another case they make). I haven’t had any issues with modules fitting, even over the power.

I’m using three rows of Trogotronic power. For some reason, when I had a fourth busboard, several modules, notably Three Sisters and Batumi, were very unhappy; but they are fine with three busboards.

I’m generally happy with the case. It’s supposed to close patched, but it doesn’t. Not huge concern for me, though.

slaps top of case something something a lot of timbre in here

finally got to a point where I can get into a performative groove.

DIY modules are the unlabeled flat black ones - top row with two knobs is a passive lopass filter, single output one on bottom is noise generator (via a $1 white noise generator off ebay), dual LPG next to it, and combination two input switch and normally-open button gate.

Gotta do something with that iMac behind :joy:

The little Epoch case continues to be a wonder. I’ve gotten so much enjoyment out of it… I find it to be very playable by itself, but today I combined it with my little controller skiff. The keyboard was pinging the filters with the gate and sending 1V/oct. The Benjonlin’s three filter outs were going to a switch and then combined into the second input on the Twinpeak.

Here’s my 7u 100hp setup. 100hp because I initially cut rails to fit inside a Seahorse case. That case was very deep though so I made this one out of wood and covered it with tolex.

100 is one of the best numbers!
Love how much you’ve packed in there
