Damn, I need to get me one of those ATN8’s. So much usefulness in so little hp.

They’re built ins that I converted.

There are 18 rows of 130HP each. The rails are just standard vector rails cut to length, but I had the mounting brackets custom made by a machine shop (which was the most expensive part).

Behind the racks are 3 Meanwell switching PSUs that put out 17A each. They are distributing the power using bus bars and heavy gauge wire which is also doubled up. Each rail is independent of each other but connects back to shared mains ground. With this set up I have no issues with noise.

What you don’t see is the rear wiring - there are balanced outs that go to a rack mounted audio interface.

I bought the house from an author so there are tons of built in shelves, one feature is there are pull out things for displaying books which are perfect for a Linnstrument, keyboard or similar.

Took me 3 months to build this!

it’s great! can get cramped but if hp is an issue i can’t think of a better choice for all the utility it offers.

What do you think of the Waverazor? My impression of the VST plugin was that it would make a better Eurorack oscillator than software synth, and apparently they thought so too

haven’t tried the vst but yeah i think eurorack would be the more fun experience. all those modulation points really make it come alive. also you can easily config it as two entirely independent oscillators, a nice-to-have in a small setup (though not really a benefit over the vst since in a daw you could use as many instances as you like).

great tones to be had out of it, mostly reminiscent of wavetable synthesis but sometimes more in the territory of chiptunes. the oscilloscope display is great. there’s also a setting to change all the text to klingon. :stuck_out_tongue:

100% USB battery powered rig for travel, using the MMI PSU in a 4ms Pod60. Korg SQ1 for sequencing and iPad with audio interface for effects bus and mixing.

Fits neatly into a Pelican case for the road:

great looking bunch of modules, i’d put that er-301 down on that bottom row tho .

Why? Because it’s easier to handle down there?

yea, the ergonomics lend to having it closer to reach. not so much if you are using it as a set and forget

Agreed, when programming it I wanted it as close and ergonomically comfortable as possible. Lots of time looking at those screens, twisting the encoder and pushing buttons

Of course one use case is to do that in separate sessions, and basically use your own saved chains/presets in normal patching and playing.

How are you getting things into and out of the iPad? I don’t recognize that piece at the end of the interface cable.

It’s an iPad Pro with USB-C and that’s just a regular USB-C adapter dongle (on a cable going to a small USB hub).
