Thanks. I’m rather happy with it and look forward to exploring the ins and outs.
Literally.

been busy building things in last few weeks, but latest additions im super excited about.
2 bela peppers (to join my salt)

(its a very easy DIY build if anyone is interested in them, but was concerned about that side)

anyway, Ive had Salt for a while now (very happy with it) , so already coded quite a few patches for it, which I can now pretty easily move over to the peppers… this is cool since my Salt tends to ā€˜hogged’ by my Soundplane patch, so great that other patches can now get some airtime … and I have space for spare experimental stuff ive had planned for a while.

Really love this. Great build. Have you had any issues with heat building up behind the panels?

What’s up with the 3 screws per module? Giving me OCDšŸ™ˆ

hahah, I do that too sometimes. I only have so many knurlies, but on larger modules with lots of jacks I like to screw down the most jack heavy areas… which is usually covered by 3 screws.

Haven’t had any heat issues. It definitely gets warm but not hot. The PSUs are switchers so don’t produce as much heat as linear ones. Last night I lifted up the shelf and touched the rails which were ā€œwarmā€, and this was after it had been on for maybe 6-7 hours.

Saying that am thinking about drilling some holes in the shelves (which would be super easy to do) to make it easier for the heat to escape.

racking/unracking takes 3/4 as much time!

Wow I did not know anyone would do 3 screws per module… seems like blasphemy. I only do 2 per module along a diagonal… 4 I can understand… 2 is my style… but 3!?

I decided to try out the Befaco Bananuts in order to help with organization/experimentation when patching.

Generally, the instruments that I use REGULARLY I prefer to have a more ā€œpunkā€ aesthetic than a sophisticated one.

Though I’m not sure I’m happy with these results it sure looks ā€œfunā€ and I’m gonna roll with it for a little while.

I hope you enjoy the LOL’s this system provides :black_heart:

That is the perfect modular setup for a gig at a glow-in-the-dark miniature golf course

Or anywhere with a lot of blacklight. A roller rink? Meow Wolf Santa Fe (possible spoilers)?

Hmmm, maybe I should approach the local mini golf courses’? I’ve been dying to play live more :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I dunno. I dig it. I feel like a lot of modular aesthetic takes itself way too seriously. I’m a big fan of Endorphin.es’ and Alright Devices’ choices in this regard. ā€œCool and Blackā€ is great, but like, everything doesn’t have to be? I realize part of it is the economics of making panels, but aethetically, I’d like to see more variety and fun - punk or otherwise. There’s always ā€œBlack and Goldā€ and Magpie if you need uniformity.

haha i do 2 sometimes too! i feel like above 10 or 12hp and it’s sometimes not ideal pulling out a cable from an unscrewed corner of a 2. yeah i’ve thought about this too much

I absolutely adore this. Is it bad taste if I rip you off? Most of my modules are silver MI panels, so it’d look different!
