I’ve used it a bit, but not to it’s full potential. I absolutely love its interface, I love the very minimalistic and clean look of it. I also love the fact that you can plug anything into any knob, which is really simple and straightforward, although all modulation ranges have to be set manually so you have to tinker with a bit of math expressions to get things right (even oscillators take linear Hz as input). But there are module librairies where these are already dialed in for you. I’ve mostly used it as a simple stereo mixer with a few extra things going on (modulation sources, effects, oscillators and so on). I’ve been running it on an iPhone as money went towards more modules rather than an iPad; it’s a bit small, and it must be great using a larger screen. I find it’s easy to get things going, and that it can add variety to a fixed modular setup.
However, there’s one major thing that has held me back from using it. It doesn’t have a recorder module, and I don’t own a second interface, meaning I can’t record performances while using it. It’s also worth noting that Audulus 3 doesn’t have any sample manipulation, granular or spectral (anything FFT) modules, but that’s apparently in the works for Audulus 4. I’ve tried it on Mac too, but I was irritated with the way the module selection interface worked and limited by the fact it doesn’t support aggregate devices.
So all in all I’m not really satisfied, but I’m looking forward to Audulus 4.
