Yeah, I had that same realization. I’ve got a Korg SQ1 which can do some basic melody, so that’s helped. And then I’ve got steppy at the top too, which has been fun for drums and (once the disting gets here) should be fun for playing over quantized LFOs. But yeah, I feel like I need some good ol’ fashioned randomness. A marbles clone seems like a solid option

That’s a good little system. Fracture is underrated.

Still a work in progress but it’s coming along. I realized I mentioned distortion in that post but hadn’t put it in the case yet when I took the pic. And I’m really enjoying fracture so far, instant Four Tet style percussion!

Looks lovely
You may find that you get along well with Bloom or one of the varigates - I can see how some more deliberate sequencing could being these modules to life.

Wow! Whats your github? Im in a similar situation :slightly_smiling_face:
Thanks for sharing !

Thanks! I haven’t really looked into Bloom, but it seems interesting. I do agree, though – the more I play with the system, the more I need powerful, purposeful sequencing (besides O+C’s Sequins, at any rate).

I put it up on thingyverse. Definitely make sure to use 2mm acrylic when cutting it, otherwise most nuts won’t fit, it’s rather close as is.

I love Fracture. When I first got it I was using it mostly for percussive hits, but lately I’ve been using it is a wild physical-sounding noise source. Fracture!!

How do you like Waver? I keep looking at it and thinking it looks like an incredible design. I’m not sure it has a place for me, but it seems great.

Three years after starting my modular system I finally have enough modules to warrant getting the case I’ve always wanted–a Pittsburgh Modular EP-270. And since I moved into a smaller place a couple months ago, it has also ended up being much easier to work with than the couple of smaller cases I’ve been using.

Waver is fun! The waveshaping is more harsh than I would ideally like but it can do subtle as well. I’m using it a lot as a dual ring mod.

Lovely blind panels! Did you make them?

Yes, from some old flyers of my past shows. https://www.thegatherings.org/130gather.html

Fairly new to the forum, so I figured this thread would be a good place to start :man_shrugging:.

What’s the OK200 bottom left? Some kind of touch sequencer?

Nice use of those Gatherings images!

Pro 2 is so fun and flexible. Amazing possibilities when paired with modular too!

Yeah it does have some sequencing abilities but I mainly use it to control the pitch of my VCOs. Heres a link :+1:
