Here’s my modular system.
This is what I’ve ended up with as a result of feeling my way through stuff more so than it is the end result some sort of plan. All told though, I’m pretty happy with what I’ve ended up with.
The mantis and Cell 90 cases are set up so as to be either self contained instruments or parts of a larger sound making and recording system.

Mantis Case - Groove Box like function
The Synthesizer Box and E330 pair up well as a stack, as individual voices, or as one being a modulation source for the other.
The Pico Drums have onboard volume adjustment, so that’s cool to have as an option before being sub mixed.
The Pittshburgh modules are great value for the money since many of them serve dual functions. The VCA can be a mixer, the LPG can double as a VCA and also makes a cool kick drum plus self oscillates.
I plan to pull out the 2HP mult and put some type of utility module, like a Mutable Instruments Kinks, or something, in there. Maybe a wave folder, I dunno.

Cell 90 Case, Morphagene focused skiff
I am able to have a lot of fun with this on it’s own, and can easily patch in an iPad or one of my synths via the cockpit mixer module. For example, the Cockpit mixer inputs can be switched between stereo and mono via jumpers on the back side of the unit. I have mine set up with 2 stereo and 2 mono inputs, so it’s a cool system to support small synths & iOS devices.

Doepfer 9U Case / Overflow, Support, Expert Sleepers
I have a Behringer ULI 404 something or other interface which is used for running Maschine on a 2011 iMac to supplement the modular in making and recording weird shit. I’ve got patch bays so I have the ability to route stuff around, but by default everything runs through a DJM 500 mixer.
To fill in gaps, I have an Expert Sleepers system based around the ES-3, ES-5, and ES-6 connected to a Motu Track 16, connected via ADAT to a MacBook Pro on the other side of the room. I’ve got Silent Way, Reaktor, with Micheal Hetrick’s Euroreakt, and MAX - so I have access to most utilities I don’t own in hardware.
