I’m a big Monorocket loyalist. Always trying to track down variations that might suit me. I still think they’re the best cases probably overall.

Mine is definitely showing its age a bit cosmetically, but it’s still sturdy as a tank.

Wow - these systems are gorgeous. Have you noticed anything unexpected in your switch to brand-specific systems? Does it tend to make you focus more on the specific strengths of a brand or their specific weaknesses?

Swapping 1047 and OCHD for teletype, I’m going to miss this arrangement though:

My favorite thing about splitting things up like this is finding out new uses for modules that I didn’t really know about or think about before. When the function/module I want isn’t available at first glance, I usually find that there is some combination of things in the case that will get the job done. It’s really allowed me to dive deeper into modules that I used to only use on a very shallow surface level.

I also definitely get different vibes from each system. For example, patching the mutable system is a much different feeling than the make noise case. This is probably a personal vibes thing, but it’s sort of like the difference of playing a Telecaster vs a Les Paul.

I also started a new system lately, keeping with the one manufacturer theme. Loving it.

wow all nlc not a sloths in sight! how do you like the bbx291? that one seems very cool and i love his new LED windows

The Hypster fills the sloths void (and a whole lot more). The bbx291 is really solid, happily recommended. Has a great character and a really nice response, extremely easy to dial in what you are after. Hopefully I’ll find time to make some recordings at some point soon…

How do you like the Clump? I’m pondering getting one…

just wanted to +1 how rad that nlc system is, all those new modules! been interested in the Tracky Dacks as well, the name is so great.

Love it! I had done the same a while back (shared system packed with NLC modules). Would love to hear some stuff you make with this awesome system. NLC stuff is amazing. Wishing that he goes back to making 4U panels

Finally have enough of a system to post!

I’ve got a uTides on the way, and then I think I’ll take a break from buying apart from maybe a VCA or two.

Sol has regular degular CV+Gate on the top two jacks; the rest of the CV jacks are CC 20-22, gates 2-3 are CC 23-24 (but acting as independent gates), and gate 4 is a clock out. It was super super easy to reprogram, and Thea (the builder) gave me a ton of tips!

This and the LPP3 make note and modulation sequencing from Bitwig really easy, since I can just pipe out CCs being used with Bitwig’s modulators for things like envelopes, LFOs, etc!

while my Norns is stuck in USPS limbo, i spent some time downsizing the system to make room. rather than build a control skiff, i decided to carve out a separate place for all of my dsp / effects / granular modules. this allows my main case to become somewhat more autonomous.

Your envelope game is strong. I like that.

How are you using those digdugdiy boards¿

Found my system super envelope-deficient at one point. Finally found a comfortable spot. Quaid Megaslope is probably too large for many systems, but i find the real estate to be well worth it given the level of control.

I only very recently picked up the digdugdiy boards, so this remains to be seen! I’d wanted a Purple Rain for the longest time (my only other bitcrushers at the moment are vst). The other one is a 4-second sampler using an answering machine chip. I intend to use it to bring in samples from outside of the system.

Nice setup, to ask the perennial question – what case is that? It looks great!
