i question the ergonomics of patching racks below your knees

I bet each section serves a certain purpose for him. It’s just like when you see a pro studio that has 15-20 different hardwired synths in it. Each one serves it’s purpose and has it’s own sound. In this case it’s just a different collection of modules instead of a different hardwired synth. Maybe he’s not ever patching between sections and all the way across the room. Probably just within each section. I’d love to see a video of him explaining this insanity.

So, a minimum of 2 years before any new music comes out. :joy:

That’s not logical. If he only recorded 5 minutes a day 3 days a week that 60 minutes of sample material a month or 24 hours of material over the 2 years.

Edit: come to think of it, if he took 6 hours of that material and packaged it up as Martin Gore’s sample collection for $59 he’d probably add another million to his wealth.

I’m sure he could come up with something, just joking. :grinning:

I do think of this tweet from Apparat:

 blue banana devices ftw! :fist:

I have these older systems, they sound nice and complement each other well… as separate voices or pairs of voices, I don’t cross-patch them…

what sort of speaker risers/stand are you sporting here?
Snazzy!

That’s an old Quicklok studio desk that has speaker stands, and 4u of rack space (now used for module overflow) built it.

It expects a mixing desk so it’s a bit deep. But it keeps everything as compact as possible in the home office I share with my wife…

Thanks a million for writing.

New case arrived today. Very much a work in progress. Next additions are some Bastl things, replacing the filters with something smaller/more versatile, a Batumi, and SSF Ultra-Random. Maybe a couple of fun Pico things, too.

What case is this? I’ve been looking for something 6u around this size!

That a Bastl Little Nerd? Been looking at that but not sure yet. Would you recommend?

Yes, DIY.
Fairly easy build.

It has been my main clock for a lot of time until I built temps utile.
Very useful and a lot of features.
I also use it to filter the clock sync from my drum machine (tanzbar) to the ansible as direct connection was not really working.

So highly recommended

I’ve got a batumi in the trade thread if you didn’t pick one up yet. : )
