i love the telharmonic. the eo sounds cool but this thing is great for drones and perfect as a noise source. finally nailed random chord sequencing last night and i love it even more now. similar to the digitone, it can seem difficult to wrangle into something musical and pretty. but with both of those, the complexity allows for so many incredible sweet spots that you can’t really get with many other pieces of gear (as far as im aware of). i find these types of synths or voices much more satisfying than something with less options that may sound really nice initially, like rings for example.

i actually think the additive parameters are very flexible. i’ve been running my rollz/spikering voice into the fm input, then cross modulating with other lfos or nlc sloth, and getting mind blowing complex sounds from it

i do wonder if i’d like the ensemble oscillator though. i’m sure its great, everyone seems to be amazed by it

Not a fan of the mangrove? Curious why you went with just JF/3S

Cool setup btw

Oh I’m a big fan of Mangrove, had one in a previous larger case and I loved it. This is all based on limiting myself to 2x60hp. I know, 0-coast/ctrl is kinda like cheating. JF triggered me with its i2c capabilities. I have a future plan of getting a slightly larger case that would incorporate 2xMangrove, Cold Mac and expanders for Teletype. Choice of Sisters (besides being an awesome filter) mainly due to the mixing options it gives. With a case this small I’ve had to think / re-think many times. Property value!

Nice, nice. How do you like the morphagene/mimeophon combo? Seems like a lot of people here go 301 as an alternate setup with JF/Tele, interested to hear your thought process.

When I first down sized i decided to go with the Make Noise Tape and Microsound as a concept. This slowly transitioned into this. Morphagene was my first module which I sold and now have bought back. I could of course go (back to) 301 and do similar things and much more. But that module didn’t stick on me when I had it. I like the direct knob per function approach of Morphagene. 301 can always do more which can be stressful.

Lovely system, seems to be very thoughtfully composed. I love that size and trying to achieve something similar.

My setup just before playing a livestream. After playing, I realised playing improvised, for me, this is too much. Too much to keep control of, and I think I’d get better results using less while improvising. Seeing others small systems on this thread has inspired me to try to play with a more focused setup.

I think for a more planned, composed pieces this size is good, and I love this configuration in general.

Having a focused system has helped me fall in love with Eurorack, and with the A4. My plans and the config for this have shifted 'round a bit since i first got this case, but they’re settling now that I have all but two modules. I’m 100% gonna grab Morphagene when I can afford one/find a good deal, and I think the Axys’ll be very useful.

how are you liking the Generate 3?

If you can put a plug in it you should put a plug in it. Who else needs to uses every place you can…leave no plug in plugged.

My small Intellijel Palette setup with a clip of how the patch currently sounds.Just the palette , no OP-1 as yet.

Just waiting for that 1HP blank panel.

It’s difficult to wrangle, but sounds lovely! I found that once I started modulating it at audio rates it came alive. Honestly it may be the first analog osc that I’ll really need to read the manual for

I have just made a dual MS20 filter to fit into my system, the colourful home made panel i thought would match the filters quality (owners of the SubH may know where I got the design from), I used the schematic on Eddy Bergmans site https://www.eddybergman.com/ lots of great projects there but, boy, do I now know why they invented PCB’s!

just completed this one, and—in the short-term at least—i like it more than my mains for instant playability.

My modular system

Ain’t got the money for it, or possibility for a lifestyle of shopping :shopping: and FOMO. Maybe one day (i already have the props like little plant), modular is really fascinating actually.

I love this case. It looks so good and it’s the perfect size for me–big enough that it never feels limited but small enough that it never feels overwhelming.

I just rearranged some modules after buying a NiftyCase. I decided on the NiftyCase after looking around for a relatively inexpensive case that I could move the Five12 Vector sequencer into to make it more accessible to use with my keyboard synths.

i have the same old pulp logic lunchbox and i’m very fond of it!
it has tons of power and i was amazed that its the only PSU i’ve found that let me use the monome grid without the extra power, no hums no troubles at all! such a lovely small case
