a thunderstorm for norns
adapted from code found here. not much to say about this one, it makes it rain… and thunder. includes an engine, so a sleep is required after installation.
sleep
norns
Encoder 1 controls volume. Encoder 2 controls rain volume. Encoder 3 controls thunder volume.
v1.0.1
This is now in the maiden project manager.
Love it! Something different
Thanks! It was a fun way to spend an afternoon
yes! it’s been far too sunny here in portland, or.
Thanks. I love reading and running this
This is beautiful, it’s like a Norns haiku. Any chance we could assign enc2, enc3 to rain/thunder volume respectively?
i can take a look
Edit: this’ll be easy I think
Just pushed an update that gives you control over rain/thunder volumes via encoders 2/3.
Thanks man! Much appreciated.
just flooded tonight’s broadcast with this script.
@Justmat wondering… would it be possible to add an additional feature to trigger lightning and thunder with Buttons two and three? with maybe a little lightning bolt graphic? (this would be in addition to the already random thunder sounds)
you cant control the gods sir!
Maybe a rain dance? Try to at least influence the Gods?
we could think of the button presses as ritual sacrifices to the Gods.
resisting the urge to comment on every script i’m loving, but this and otis are incredible thank you @Justmat kind of wish i could just have showers in the background of everything i’m doing
hey ya @Justmat!
just an FYI… was running Showers the other day and started up that norns again tonight.
i went to CLEAR the script and the main page says NONE as it should but it would not stop the rain! loaded MANGL and that stopped the storm.
i’m updated to OS: 200712
“You can plan a pretty picnic But you can’t predict the weather” A. Benjamin, October 2000 (Sorry, I could not resist but since you said “Hey ya” I just can not)
Made something short with showers, I figured it’d make a great source for all kinds of filters, so I ran it through three sisters, QPAS and a ResEQ. The result is super intense, I love that script so much, thanks @Justmat !
That is super intense! Thanks for sharing
