I discovered the f8r, might be a cool addition to my teletype centric world. Searched, but couldn’t find the answer, so: anyone knows if it will work with teletype (i2c, the f8r in follower mode)?

From what I’ve understand it uses the same Teletype FADER OP than the 16n I’m I wright ?

Yes, F8R works swell with Teletype fresh out of the box. There should be a selector switches for Follower/Leader (my F8R are beta hardware without this switch), and inverters if you want to flip upside-down. If you want to run multiple F8R you will need to configure their I2C addresses within the firmware. The only quirk is with 8 faders the values from FB 1 through FB 8 are duplicated on FB 9 through FB 16.

You will notice that the FB TT OPs now need to be calibrated before use, so with all faders at zero please run:
L 1 8: FADER.CAL.MIN I
Then put all faders to max and run:
L 1 8: FADER.CAL.MAX I
The calibration is stored automatically to Teletype flash memory.
