i checked my notes and yes, my records say if something is connected to input 13 it fixes the problem.

Were the hardware issues fixed? I’m quite tempted by the DIY kit.

any news on this front?

have you tried contacting sssr labs?

Anyone know if this is fixed? I was interested in buying one when someone on the facebook quadraphonic discussion group pointed me over here to this thread. TIA.

since this is now getting linked from other places… could you post in that thread and suggest people should check with sssr labs, as only they can provide the answer?

Will do. Being newish, I follow blithely.

thanks! i posted my findings here back when i had the module, i don’t have the module anymore and i don’t have any new info. just want to make sure this thread is not used as the authoritative source of information.

Hello
If possible can someone please guide me as to how to connect sssr sm010 with teletype and get it up and running

Yes I’ve read the thread before
Do you remember how to set the address on the sm010 side of things
I believe I have everything set except for that
And I cannot find anything in the sm010 manual
Thank you

found old notes - to select one of the 3 addresses go to setup, row 15 is where you select it (A/B/C). on teletype side you select it with MA.SELECT x where x is 1, 2 or 3. this is not stored in flash, you’ll need to put it in the init script if you’re not using the default address 1.

Thank you i still got nothing tho
Does anyone remember if it Is still only 3 wires for I2c ?

twenty characters of yes

Hello so sorry to bug again
Does anyone know how to hook this up with teletype?
I’m having an extra difficult time
I believe I have I2c connected properly
( 3 wires I swapped the sda and scl on sm010)
I went to line 15 on sm010 setup selected unit 1
I type in ma.select 1 on teletype
Next I try
Ma.step 1, the teletype responds with 1
What am I missing?
Thanks in advance if anyone can help

you don’t need a parameter with MA.STEP, it always advances by one step. have you tried other ops? double check i2c lines - GND to GND, SDA to SDA, SCL to SCL. do you have any other devices connected to i2c? do they work? finally, update sm firmware to the latest - 1.1 version doesn’t include teletype support.

     !!!!!Victory!!!!!

Thank you again and again

FWIW I just got a Matrixarchate direct from SSSR Labs (ordered before I saw this thread) and I can reproduce the row 13 issue. It is extremely easy to mitigate though, a dummy plug in 13 fixes it.

I don’t have it in the same case as Teletype right now but I look forward to trying out the TT integration in the future!

can you post what the problem was? might be helpful for others.

they really ought to add this to the module description…

After much pain and agony I’ve come to realize
(For now)
I can not have my txb connected to I2c for it to work
All modules are jumped in order like everyone told me in a previous thread.
My sm010 is now at the end of line
In order my I2c is teletype, txi , txo, jf, w/, sm010
I now would like to connect my txb somewhere along the path and have not found a placement in the chain that works.
The Problem for me appears to be the txb at the moment
Any help would be great
Thanks
