On a similar yet frugal track, I’ve been using a Readaeer book stand to prop various items up (104hp skiff, desktop synth, small mixer) with good results. Not as compact when folded or as aesthetically pleasing, but a solid alternative. The little black page holders come off very easily.

Interested in how portable the folded table actually is (and how comes there’s no “gig stand” version of this system…)

Just wanted to follow up and say I bought the Gator stand and it is awesome - it’s not HUGE, but it has room for a launchpad, a launchcontrol, a laptop, an external hard-drive, and an audio interface. The height is adjustable and it fits right over my keyboard.

The only downside is that its sturdiness also means its a little on the weightier side - a hand that is carrying the flat surface doesn’t really have any room left for anything else.

Still, great buy!

Im looking for recommendations for a portable keyboard stand and a laptop stand that can collapse and pack fairly easy.

Looking to support an Axiom 61 and a Macbook Pro ''15.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks-

Hi all -

I have somewhat of a random question. I am looking for a stand for my 256 (or 128) for in-studio performances. I need it at about the height of a snare drum, maybe a little bit higher. The obvious choice would be indeed a snare drum stand but was wondering if anybody has thought of something that would better suit a grid.

Thanks in advance for any tips - and Happy 4th!

Cheers,
Ignacio

Not cheap, not light but I use a Meinl platform for gear when I perform. Adjustable, built like a tank.

Another angle is in my profile photo.

There are cheaper/lighter “percussion stands” out there. I think something like this may do what you need.

I couldn’t find any reference to a meinl platform online, could you point us to a link?

I like this Samson stand a lot:
