Yeah… Maybe I’m wrong but the starting bid price is more than the retail price of the included parts?! And everything is in-stock / available brand new? Bizarre is all I can say.

@Galapagoose / @tehn, just noticed that its out of stock on monome.org and at Control, which got me thinking. Will there be further runs of isms or is it going to be more limited, along the lines of the aleph?

Curious because I plan on getting one, but wouldn’t be able to pull the trigger for a few months.

I’m so happy that I did import one to Sweden myself. If it’s out of stock in US I think it will take a loong time before it shows up in EU.
Isms was the key for me to bring back Eurorack to an ‘instrument’ focus instead of the “Eurorack as a studio” approach.

i just got my 1700 (in desert tan! <3 matches my “camo” control cables). are you sure about not needing to cut the top foam? It’s a little hard to close the case…

from the “isms approach” video it doesn’t look like @tehn has the top cut. is that how it looks for the system?

Congrats to your case! As I wrote: For me it dependend on the modules I have and the length of their knob caps.

If the knob caps are long, have a foam shop slice the top foam into 2 halves (one being 1 cm thin), cut out the module area of the Isms, and glue the halves together again, like this:

from what i’ve read, there are no plans for another release of isms in its current iteration. there may be a v2 one day with updated features, but there aren’t any concrete plans as of yet.

as time goes on, the odds get higher. if it happens, it’d be at least a year from now. (but this is of course a loose estimate, the feeling of now related to our respective work loads).

Just curious about what was in isms that couldn’t be done in, for example, an intellijel 4u skiff or something similar?

Ok, that’s a thing for sure…

But it could be relatively easily substituted, right?

Don’t get me wrong, isms was cool, but if it’s really out of production, one must find an alternative… I’m trying to ponder what that might look like in terms of currently available options…
