I just got a Doepfer BBD, which will certainly do some weird things on its own. Clocking it with filtered noise, etc. is pretty fun. Right now it’s sitting next to my PLL, and whole that’s kind of a coincidence I do plan to see what those two will stir up.

But it occurs to me that the perfect module to go with the BBD might be a Synchrodyne. I had one for a while (with the expander too) and decided it wasn’t for me, but now I wish I had it back to try this combo out…

This guy is fun, but you probably knew that already - http://gieskes.nl/

yeah love gieskes stuff! and he just posted on insta, looks like more vu-percs are available, going to get a couple.

doepfer BBD - yes, always wanted to get one for experimentation, thanks for the reminder! http://www.doepfer.de/a112.htm is also one of those more esoteric doepfer modules, lofi sampler and effects, really curious to try it out. unfortunately the case i have in mind is pretty shallow, so doepfer is out of the question for now.

You need a doepfer beauty case around at all times for older deeper modules! Mine has a Ladik trigger to midi module in it which is great for drums.

still waiting patiently for Goodiepal to make a module.

Not sure where to post this but has anyone tried these flying attenuators from Error Instruments?

if I’m getting passive attenuators I’d rather go with https://www.boredbrainmusic.com/product/splix/
I like these a lot as they have many functions depending on how you patch
I use them in my video synth rig and they work great

They are great! I’ve got these from RYO which is practically the same thing. I use them all the time.

Maybe it’s not enough strange and weird but I love the spirit of Error Instruments. It’s not necessarily too much noisy.
Very interesting and experimental !
With the Tropical Noise you can plug a lot of your components and find some really weird sound and CVs. Really love it  !
Sonic Lullaby is cool with morphogene or any sampler (ER-301 etc)

Inline headphone volume controls are another cheap way to get attenuation without taking up hp:

Seconded, these are perfect, unfortunately RYO has left the business…

I think RYO has just recently started trading again, but this particular product has been OOP for a long time.
