Stupid question, but how necessary is Switch if you’re not switching? Thinking about putting a WW in a make noise powered skiff, which seems to have the 5v needed. Just want to save hp if I don’t really need it.

You can also use the Ext5V, which I think is still available…

Depends on the MN power supply. I blew up mine connecting the grid without ext5v/Switch (my bad). MN repaired it and upgraded the 5V supply at the same time.

These days I have a bigger case and while powering the grid would be well within spec, I still use Switch.
