@its_your_bedtime can’t load files. Thanks!

This update looks great!! I have the same issue as @swhic, though. I can’t load samples from the main screen. I can preview the sound by holding K1 though! Such a great feature!! You’re truly a wizard @its_your_bedtime <3

SYSTEM > RESET is required after update, as there are changes in engine, have you tried that?

yes, sorry problem persists.

Hmm checked on both units and its all ok. Could you take a look if there are any errors in maiden?
edit: maybe try reinstalling

I did a reinstall, then reset the device, and still am unable to load samples from the main screen. Here is what I got in maiden when I tried to load up a sample:

lua:
/home/we/dust/code/takt/lib/timber_takt.lua:153: attempt to index a nil value (field '?')
stack traceback:
    /home/we/dust/code/takt/lib/timber_takt.lua:153: in field 'callback'
    /home/we/dust/code/takt/lib/browser.lua:31: in field 'exit'
    /home/we/dust/code/takt/lib/browser.lua:123: in field 'key'
    /home/we/dust/code/takt/takt.lua:976: in function 'key'
    /home/we/norns/lua/core/menu.lua:140: in function </home/we/norns/lua/core/menu.lua:117>

Ah, you can also open sample browser pressing K3 on sample tile and i was checking it from there (where it worked)

Pushed a fix :upside_down_face:

This is an amazing and exciting update! Thanks again! This is quickly becoming my main groove box! This is me being greedy, but does this update possibly have global swing?

Man, seriously, I cant express how awesome this update it.

Thanks! No global swing yet, but im working on it

brilliant + runs like a dream. Norns arrived last night and it was a breeze to get this up and running. thanks so much!

Haven’t been able to locate the ā€˜randomize start values for current track’ button… tried shift / alt / hold copy combos – not sure what page I should be on to execute, and don’t see an arrangement of four illuminated grid buttons on the bottom row on any page. might someone be able to help me locate it?

Could be this feature was removed, as I see a similar question from @mlogger above and a ā€˜no random stuff yet’, although this is too vague for me to give up yet!

there are couple randomize options - random note, start point or both start and end.
they are assigned to step from ā€œrulesā€ tile, while step is held.

Thanks for the quick response!

awsome, thanks a lot for this. would it be possible to have a different number of repeats per pattern?

Another request; could we have a sequence reset button? Similar to many sequencers, as a way to return the play head to the beginning of the sequence? This way, if we stop then start the sequence, instead of starting from where it was paused could go to the start?

Maybe a double press of the play button? Or a button next to the start/stop key could be a ā€˜play from start of sequence’ key?

It’s MOD button and start/stop button.

It’s been discussed before, but not sure about the development regarding long(er) samples. I’ve tried to modify the envelopes time but no luck. Any suggestions?

Hi, I’m trying to use this app with a simulated Grid using midigrid, however looks like midigrid does not implement the method ā€œredrawā€ and so it will not work.
This error is caused by the call to g:redraw() at line 896 in takt.lua, however I cannot find any implementation of the function redraw inside the grid api. I’m not an expert in lua so maybe I’m missing something. Can anyone help?
