I need to say that trying to upload all of my prepared samples into the OP-XY is a fraking (BG quote here) nightmare.
The OP-XY crashes every third or fourth time, even though I make sure not to upload too much data at once.
…and yes… each time the OP-XY crashes, I lose everything in it.

have you told TE about this?

If I’ve saved a synth preset, then I can rename it, but I don’t seem to be able to move it from the presets/snapshots folder - not even when the OP-XY is connected to my computer.
Is this just how it works - all of my saved synth presets will be saved in the presets/snapshots folder and this is the only place they can be?
Also, I’ve created a multi-sampler preset. This has been saved to the presets folder as a folder containing all of the samples in the preset. These samples are also located in the samples folder where I originally copied them - so I now have a duplicate set of samples, and presumably will have for every multi-sampler preset I create.
Assuming I don’t want to use the samples for anything other than the multi-sample preset I created, can I delete the samples I copied to the samples folder?

if you connect to your computer you can put them in their own folder inside of the presets folder. it ends up looking like this:

That’s odd. I can’t do that - if I connect the OP-XY to the computer (M1 MacBook Pro, macOS Sequoia) then I can’t move a preset out of the snapshot folder into the presets folder - I get an error message “The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “xyz.preset” can’t be read or written. (Error code -36)”.
If I copy the preset from the OP-XY to my computer, delete it (in the Finder) on the OP-XY, then I can copy it back to the presets folder without a problem.

Field Kit 1.1.9 now supports MacOS Sequoia.
It’s been released three days ago.
Is that the one you have installed on your Mac ?

It is, yes. And the OP-XY firmware is 1.0.13.

While holding shift try pressing the encoder that controls the fading of the loop points. It’s the second one on the right. If you press it twice it should say ”loop off”. Does that work for you?

Just to make sure it’s not just my OP-XY… mine struggles after 2-3 GB of downloaded samples… then if I insist, it crashes and I lose everything.
I’ve prepared 6.3 GB of files but I guess they’ll never make it into the OP-XY.
PS. MacBook Pro M3 running Sonoma 14.5 + FieldKit 1.1.8 + OP-XY firmware 1.0.13

this is clearly some sort of bug, if you report it they can fix it. i haven’t ran into it yet, but i also haven’t tried to fill mine up with samples. i’ll try to make it happen, but you should definitely reach out to support so they can get on it.

well, I got 2gigs on there with no crash. there was some weirdness at the end of the transfer, but restarting got me back up and running. I need to download some more samples now to see if I can crash it

LA producer dibiase just got an XY and shared some beats & his current workflow for sample chopping with the multisampler on stream yesterday

It might be faster to sample them into the XY one at a time

Saw this yesterday, I was sampling into a drum kit via USB from an iPad and sporadic samples wouldn’t take, they’d just hang. Power cycled to see this, then a third time to thankfully get back. Similar bugs resampling from the internal source, but sampling from the mic worked fine. I’m guessing there’s currently some problem with any sort of long samples, even much less than 20sec.
