That’s actually a pretty funny idea. One that I think some people might be interested in.

Try unplugging and replugging the headphones once the OP-Z is connected to the iPad. In AUM this causes the iPad to route audio to the headphone jack. At least that’s how it works for me on an older iPad Pro with headphone jack - hoping it works for you with the usb hub, because that’s what I’ll have to use when I eventually upgrade!

So odd, didn’t they announce that it was discontinued?

@cold_fashioned I can’t remember where I saw it, but someone posted a pic of a shop discontinuing it: they took it as TE was no longer making them but not the case.

There was an older PCB device called “OpLab” back in 2011 that has been discontinued. This yellow thing that plugs into the OPZ uses the same name but is not discontinued, just never in stock.

Anybody here use their OPZ to sequence VCV Rack? Been exploring that area and hoping there were others who have either tried it or would be up for a joint exploration in to the space!

Is anyone able to verify if TE have solved the ill-fitting issue this module suffered from?

I got my oplab module replaced directly from TE and can confirm that my new one fits fine.

Still nothing on their site. Wonder what’s in it! Some folks are mentioning potential new LFO options. I just would like a detune/fine tune option. Also, a better polyphony on drum tracks so I could load a kit on to one layer and treat the OPZ like a Digitakt.

in all seriousness I wish there was more space to create sample banks. Ten sample banks per track globally is rather too limited for me.

Guide for this will be up shortly. Make sure you all download the app update as well!!

Wait, guide for more sample banks???

Ok, appears the update is mostly for new LFO settings. Having an accelerometer option is freaking sweet. That will play best as a performance/instrument piece. Wonder how well that setting gets transferred between CV or Midi output. But dang. That’s cool.

Also, LFO to effects adds some great motion. Excited for that, as I feel like it will relieve some of the boredom I can feel from my loops when built entirely on the OPZ

Totally digging the new LFO Settings. Now I can make everything sound slightly wobbly.
