I’ve only had it since lunchtime and I keep plugging it in to use as an interface. So TBC for me, it hasn’t gone below 98%.

Actually, that’s totally wrong. I’ve been jamming with it in drum machine mode during a meeting. Looks like it used about 10% battery over the course of half an hour.

Ahhh interesting. @glia have you done a full battery drain test? Does it really last 8 hours?

Hi, Curious what devices you use to record onto. Been looking for a small (read portable) multichannel recorder for quite a while - use the Cynatic 24 with a external battery pack though its not really ideal

these two images posted on Reddit helped me get a better understanding on the size of TX6. the second image especially.
here it sits next to my wallet.
so, just a bit bigger than a credit card
edit: crazy to see side by side with my previous mixer and audio interface setup.

Yes alright but it should be noted that it doesn’t work without the credit card so it’s really the size of TWO credit cards, I can attest it as I’m currently trying to use the TX-6 in my studio without a credit card and it’s actually so broken without one that I don’t even see it on my desk or anything. Super disappointing.

never seen dip below 90% battery during my usage in the past week

I’m looking forward to making my first post in the new “TX-6 next to things” thread

Highly recommend finding a little spring loaded phone holder! I had this kicking around and it holds the TX-6 so steady, it floats it above your gear and you can manipulate every fader and knob and the mixer doesn’t budge a bit. Great little $10 accessory!

Can I request a photo of the TX-6 with 6/12 things plugged into it?
Looking at this photo, it appears as though the screen is maybe the size of a thumbnail. Would that be correct? How is it reading that screen?

I found some random cables of various brands and here’s what I ended up with. Someone posted elsewhere of 6 Amazon Basics cables fitting perfectly.
@kasselvania screen is a piece of cake, super sharp OLED. And dark mode!

surprisingly easy! a thumbnail is a good approximate to its size. most pages use clear “large” graphics without much business to waste screen real estate. dark mode is aces!

I left it playing a beat from the internal drum machine all afternoon/evening. It’s easily done 8 hours with battery to spare.
The only cable issue I have had is that the cable from my headphones did not fit alongside the chunky main output 3.5mm adapter. Using a different cable for the output (an elektron splitter) worked better than the fancy TE aluminium adapter.

Couple fun ones for scale. Thing is so unbelievably tiny, fun and great sounding. Loving it so far.

When using it as an audio interface, does it operate in full duplex? The mode screenshots that I’ve seen indicate that it can either send 12 channels or receive 12 channels. If I used one, I imagine that I’d really like to send 12 channels and still use it to monitor audio coming from the computer with headphones connected to the TX-6.

i’m a bit confused by the use case (you’re talking 12in and 12out simultaneously)
if all you’re asking is: can you monitor both? yes
