I totally forgot to pick up a battery pack. I know it might be a little too early to tell but I wonder what the battery life is at moderate volumes.
I’m not sure, gotta try. In the meantime I bought also the big speaker and another two lights and accessories.
Can you enlighten me about this : Is the Speaker sub combo a sort of 2 part thing where you effectively have the 69€ Speaker + the (then I guess 69€ as well) Sub ?
I assume these are all mono?
My understanding was you could pair them for Stereo ?? If the single units are Stereo it must be kinda weird though seeing how narrow they are.
I’ve also heard that this is mono. Even if you pair two of those. But please someone confirm that.
Edinburgh has them in stock but I am resisting (for now :))
s
Also in stock in Lisbon - IKEA Alfragide … ahah could not resist
They are.
And yes, the big one is just a small one with a woofer attached.
After getting negative answers from IKEA Norway customer service, I reached out the the marketing department in Norway. And FREKVENS is being released late march. So if your country is currently out of the loop, it could get a later release. Happy day!
looking at the manual and unless they have a bluetooth ap you would have to split a stereo cord for these things to be stereo. that being said i dont have them to actually know. there is no mention of stereo in the manual and the pair button just seams to add the phone not connect speakers to each other.
If you split the channels using Y cables or two mono outs with stereo pair, it has to work in stereo. The question is, how good does it sound. Stereo imaging and the like, if anyone who has two speakers could try it out, I’m kinda curious.
Seconded. Would love to hear about this. If you have 2xspeakers and 1xsub, how would it sound if you sunmed the signal back from the speakers into the sub. I will probably get this setup as a live rig for DIYshows if it works.
mono is totally fine for my needs. might pick up another small speaker anyway - if I do I’ll try out “stereo” and report back.
From TE instagram:
I ordered some disco lights. y’know - for the kids
After 12 hours of obsessively adding and deleting these from baskets I think I need to visit the store
I cannot do the aforementioned process all night !!!
I’m getting quite a bit of what sounds like some sort of rf interference/mobile noise coming through on my speaker/sub combo. Has anyone else heard anything like this? I will have to go to back to the store and swap I suppose
Love the little speaker and the (tyvek?) silver bags.
mind blown:

I’ve been looking for a powered mono speaker to play around with multi-channel room audio via ES-9 & Ableton / Max Surround Panner…this is probably a winner!
Edit - out of stock in Colorado.
