i have a very simple script 1

TR.PULSE A
P.N 0
CV 1 N P.NEXT
TR.TIME A 1

and a pattern of 5 notes in P0

it skips steps, and sometimes starts step 3 or 4.

The A led blinks accordingly to the steady incoming clock (maths or trigger riot) but instead of quickly flashing, the pulse length (at least on the led) is always changing.

It does the same on the “factory” 4 tracks scene.
In the tracker screen the drops are visible as well.

Maybe it has something to do with the TR.TIME being set to 1 ms? That’s a very short trigger, and maybe whatever you are triggering does not register that consistently?
Try setting it to something longer?

Also:

are there any other scripts that may be advancing the playback position in your pattern?
