Are the printed manuals available as PDFs anywhere? I misplaced my TXn manual and now I can’t remember how the jumpers should be installed on the rear for attenuation.

For the TXn, you are close. How about here:

Perfect - thank you and all set!

hi,
will you offer pcb/panel for TXn in the near future? i can see only the assembled option in the ‘Express Interest’ menu.

thanks

Yeah @indraperkasa - hadn’t offered that. It is a really twitchy build without all the jigs and stuff I use. Doable - but not for everyone. I’d recommend spare the HP and build the wonderfully designed nearness module.

If you are up for the challenge, PM me and we can work something out. All of the stuff is on GitHub, including the jigs, btw.

Hi @bpcmusic,

I have just plugged in the TXo and the functionality is just amazing!
One thing - TO.ENV.EOC and TO.ENV.EOR do not work… I am on 3.0 firmware, only one expander installed. Thanks!

Hmm. That’s odd. I’ll take a look at it tonight!

tested at home and was working fine for me.

In this video I have something like this:

I
TO.CV 1 V 10; M 2000
TO.ENV.ACT 1 1
TO.ENV.ATT 1 200
TO.ENV.DEC 1 750
TO.ENV.EOR 1 1
TO.ENV.EOC 1 2

M
TO.ENV.TRIG 1
TO.TR.P 4

Does that work for you @ilya_n ?

I wonder if you aren’t “connecting” the trigger outputs to the envelope? They aren’t connected by default - you have to explicitly link them using the TO.ENV.EOR/EOC command. Note - it only can connect LOCAL trigger outputs (so the indexing is 1-4 for that local device).

Thanks for you thorough response, and apologies for the delay in reply. I have just tested your sketch and EOC/EOR commands do nothing, otherwise it works in a similar manner.
If I try to trigger TR1-4 explicitly (to.tr.pulse 1) they work fine. It just EOC/EOR do not trigger them…
Maybe I shall re-flash the firmware? I think I am using the latest one…

The functionality was a recent addition. You might not have the latest latest.

I’d flash.

What firmware version is the latest latest? I can see

Is this the one?
Thanks

Latest TXo firmware resolved it. Thanks for your help! Didn’t realise it relied on TXo firmware for this as well…

Hi I’m having a hard time wrapping my brain around txi expanders. Im wondering if someone can give me a quick example of how to use it
I understand I can read a value
but, how do I use that value
If possible I’d like to use input 1 in as a clock and a assign it to the m script
Or is this not possible?

Clocks - the main inputs on teletype itself are for that really- trigger on input 1 drives script 1 - the m script is a ‘self drive’ version of the same

The TXi is good for parameterising your scripts so for example

#I
TI.PARAM.MAP 1 0 4

#M
CV 1 N ADD P.NEXT MUL TI.PARAM 1 5

so in this really simple example - you have a pattern set up which you are playing with P.NEXT and knob 1 on the TXi transposes that pattern up by 5ths (you could easily do the same using a sequence coming in on one of the inputs so the transposing was automated)

Any idea when they will be available? I really don’t want to miss out, checking the store daily

yes, been waiting for this too :joy:

I’ll notify here well in advance. It will be a bit still…

Why? I’m doing a major work area clean-up and reorganization. The last build literally destroyed my studio (and rest of the house). I accrued a tremendous amount of life-debt as well that I’m only starting to pay back. Can’t really get going on this stuff in earnest until I clear out the mess.

I’m sorry to hear that (not meaning the delay on expanders, here). Hope you get things sorted and obviously looking forward for getting me some expanders

Not much to be sorry about. I made a mess while I was going so quickly on the build. Neglected other basic household duties. Basically, I was a slob and now I’m paying the price because my workspace is a disaster area.
