an expanded version of the chord sequencer patch above, now using internal TXo envelopes combined with oscillator mode, and ansible now also controlling the spread of the envelopes and the oscillator waveforms (the 4 oscillators are mixed with intellijel unity mixer and then additionally processed by 3 sisters and isms spring reverb):

Balance of the final panel order hit today. Here’s a family photo:

Glorious!

(In full 20 character glory.)

meanwhile in the firmware land… continuous wave morphing:

How are you getting TXo to update so smoothly? Are you polling Teletype at a crazy rate or is there something else going on?

yeah, a 10ms M script. ansible CV output goes into TXi, teletype script reads from TXi, and uses it to set the oscillator waveform on TXo in oscillator mode. there are 1000 steps of morphing between adjacent pure waveforms (sine->triangle->saw->square->noise).

It’s a morphing teletyparium!

in the interest of fairness - this is a much much simpler implementation than any true morphing oscillator would employ - basically it’s crossfading between neighbouring waves - you can do the same thing by using an oscillator that has multiple waveforms and mixing them. but it was easy to add and it’s nice to have it available right on the TXo! and you have continuous morphing between multiple waves which would be more difficult to replicate with a mixer.

OK, now I want two assembled TXo … this is insane!

I should have asked for two TXi also, I’m really impressed.

You could always close the loop and add the ability to morph between noise and sine to make the ouroboros effect complete.

it already does that  at the end of the video you can see ansible cycles doing the full circle!

So it does! I sit corrected.

Small note: I’ve updated the ModularGrid entries with final shots of the modules and descriptions. Thanks to whomever put up the initial ones.

@scanner_darkly - kickin’ butt above. Wave morphing was merged into the main codebase this morning. Also, a collection of envelope-related fixes were also included.

Sweet, thanks! That was me. (I own the now-dormant http://eurorackdb.com so I am proactive about such things)

I been watching this thread and would love to get one input one output if there are any available. Looks like these modules will really open up the teletype eco system. In particular the TXi looks amazing!

Production begins. First batch of TXi front boards in the oven. Simplest board - but still took a while. Fingers crossed I get faster!!

Don’t get your hopes up - we are just at the beginning of a lot of steps. This will take a while.

Great to hear that it’s moving on (lovely pig of our golden future :princess:)!

Any idea when the kits will be shipping - you would not need to bake them then…

testing one more addition, variable phase offset for LFO/oscillator mode. this is especially useful for creating related phase shifted LFOs, and since you can set the offset to be anything between 0 and full cycle (16384 steps) you can have 4 LFOs shifted by 90 degrees, or 3 LFOs shifted by 120 degrees or anything in between. resetting an oscillator will also start it from the specified phase.

in this video i’m using arc to control 4 paramters (via ansible / TXi): amplitude spread, initial waveform, waveform spread and phase offset spread. teletype M script triggered every 10ms reads TXi inputs and updates TXo accordingly. at the end you see four sine LFOs shifted by 90 degrees.

This is glorious. It reminds me of Quadraturia from Ornaments and Crimes, a riff on the easter egg from Frames. These expanders are getting more powerful every day!

What temp are you running ur oven at? I just got the whizoo guy and first board definitely came out looking like overdone toast. (sorry for OT!)
