Looks like the Mood EXP/CV in accepts 0-5V. Then switch the appropriate dip switch for what you’d like to control? I wish I had one to play with!

Totally obsessed with Mood and the upcoming Blooper! Shame I can’t afford to buy chasebliss stuff new and they so rarely pop up used…

saw this just pop up:

still loving this delay. having just watched Tom Erbe talking about the Mimeophon, it’s worth pointing out again that this also takes the Effectron as a big influence.

is there a list available of digital delay units that don’t yield slewing—‘pitch shift’—artifacts when delay time-length is modulated in real-time?

Mungo d0. You can choose your own flavour with the slew. From glitchy, to clean, to tape-like wonky

what abt time-length modulation without any slewing? slew-free zone required…

The d0 slew control can be set to have no effect on incoming modulation or manual time changes. Slew-free zone approved!

Audio Damage Dub Jr. Mk2 has a clocked mode where time change is not slewed, but it does also lock delay times to divisions of the clock rate.

Not sure of any others off the top of my head.

I couldn’t resist a Fairfield Circuitry Meet Maude after having heard one and have become immediately absolutely besotted with it. It’s dark and mysterious and absolutely perfect for my sound.

When clocked, Mimeophon does not Doppler when the Rate (delay time) knob is changed.

Clocked or unclocked, Mimeophon does not Doppler when the Zone knob is changed (slightly different more complex than just adjusting delay time, but it does do that on a coarse level)

Slew-free is what I meant when I said «clean» just the delay ajusting to knob/CV it sounds amazing.

The Digitech Digidelay doesn’t do that, but I can’t say I like the artifacts that it does have.

Decent delay/looper for the price!

Timefactor in digital delay mode

You can also switch Chronoblobs from slew to clean. Although in certain circumstances it might create a few artifacts when changing delay time …

Ohhh I forgot about the ‘Blob

A used v1 is absolutely worth the asking price and hp!

doppler, yes, this is a more precise descriptor—thank you

This was the first piece of electronic music kit I ever got when I was a senior high school - solely because Bradford Cox said Deerhunter used like 4 of them on Cryptograms… remember saving up for it/how excited I was to finally get it… haven’t thought about (or used it) in forever… good pedal…have sentimentally held onto it for a long time - maybe will dig it out tonight.

I never knew anyone had made a clone/emulation of unobtanium Binson Echorec until now… just ordered one, will comment when it arrives & have had a play…

I’m a huge Deerhunter nerd myself! My guitar pedalboard is Pitchfactor + DL4 + whatever delay, whatever reverb, and some smallsound/bigsound drive pedals. I should put the Digidelay back on to cement my Bradford Cox tribute rig!

I remember reading an interview where he said if he could only have one instrument he’d pick a Digidelay. If that’s not an endorsement I don’t know what is!

Yeah, there have a been a few pedals to attempt that, the most recent being the Gurus Echosex units (which offer a couple of varieties). I always thought I needed tape delay emulation but it turned out that analogue BBD delay was the sound I was looking for. Very nearly opted for an classic EHX Memoryman (and may well add one in the future) before settling on the FC Meet Maude.

The old Boss PS-3 pedal does that, the RV-3 too if I remember correctly.

Both of these are worth trying anyway
