Andrew sorted me on the Wangernumb, builder had put the 6v 4046 in. it was just a matter of time.

I have a question regarding Let’s Splosh :point_up:Does anyone know if anyone makes a reworked version of the module in less hp? Or one where the layout is similar to @papernoise’s design for VCV? Always loved how that looked.
In case the answer to both are negatives - which, according to my research, they are - Anyone into schematics and diy know how hard would it be to design and produce it? Not too diy savy but really interested in this, as I have both a limited rack space and deep love for papernoise’s design of the module.
Maybe I should consider tagging Andrew, but don’t really want to bother him for selfish reasons…

It would be very very easy to do your own layout (if you can read schematics but this one is very simple). The schematic fragment is in the build instructions. It would probably take only a few hours to enter it into, say eagle and then lay it out, if that. It’s a clever module though!

I designed a 4hp SMD rework of FF Chaos (with a few small additions of my own) a while back, and have been itching to do more PCB design work, perhaps I’ll give it a go.

@nonwaved Magpie Modular has done a few NLC module panels, maybe they could be interested. I can ask them if you want. Making a physical panel from the VCV design would be relatively easy for me.

Don’t worry, really. I was more concerned with how easy it would be to reformulate the schematics to make the in/out distribution work, and not so much with how the panel in itself looks (which, of course, looks great!) / making a physical panel. Since the VCV has the four inputs in the middle with the derived outputs surrounding them vs the og Splosh having them all lined up, taking up more space - my main concern was is it possible to reformulate the schematics and design a pcb / working module in less hp?

Knowing that it is feasible I might look into it and get back to you guys if I end up realizing it. Thanks :seedling:@barnaby, @forestcaver

Ok no problem!

Talking of my 4HP FF Chaos rework, one year later (or is it two already?!) I finally got around to making a demo of how I like to use it. Here’s a little drone/noise patch with just FF Chaos and Rings driving each other.

@nonlinearcircuits hi i’m interested in grabbing a triple sloth but didn’t notice the option to choose a black panel on your site. are they available?

I emailed Andrew about this last Fall when I ordered and he had a couple and made mine with the black panel. Not sure if that’s the case still, but I’d recommend emailing him about any question as he responded quickly.

@pelang how are you liking your let’s splosh?

been playing around with adding audio into it and getting some interesting results.

i find it pairs well beside a matrix mixer …

Yes, I still have a few. Just place an order for a Triple Sloth, then use the contact button to let me know you want a black panel.

Just ordered a sloth^3 from you Andrew @nonlinearcircuits…one sloth was not enough …Just posting to say i love your modules. Complete fandom.

It feels like a houseplant that is there and doing its own thing. Haven’t really tried feeding it with different modulation sources…

it is an organism in itself

anyone by chance have an active bom for the trip sloth?

will this do?

oh i’m aware of this thanks, was actually wondering if someone had a cart saved with tayda, mouser etc

Also curious about a cart for Triple Sloths.
