i love limitations! if i could only work on tape and not a computer it would be amazing.

also, i just found this book, The Seven Secrets of Jazz & Soul by Ed Landsberg. it’s small but has some really cool harmony stuff!

Four years later I pop in with a reading suggestion—the best book on orchestration I’ve ever read, and I have read many.

You need to be musically literate to make use of it. But if you are, the principles can easily be transferred to electronic instruments.
