Future studio corner. Step 1: get these fake houseplants outta here (we’re renting a furnished apartment but the owner has agreed to take everything out next week so we can finally move our own stuff in here).

Aw shucks - thanks a ton! That whole batch is wild - Mari’s stuff rips and the Ervin Omsk tape is just like, ‘impossible music’ to me in the best way.

Small world + wild about the Mono/Poly too! I’ve def heard that synth on his cuts plenty lol.

Anyways, suppose I should contribute to the thread too - here’s my little corner!

hey thanks!

tl;dr setup details
  • roland tr-8s clocks everything (usb right into norns, worked great)
  • main skiff voice is jf > optomix, played with a tsnm in arp mode modded by wogglebug, ochd, & mn contour, out thru a bastl hendrikson into a moog delay pedal
  • morphagene playing a harmonium recording into the ext in on a mother 32
  • volca fm into a fairfield barbershop
  • acoustic guitar mic’ed by a field recorder into norns running cheat codes (programmed a sequence in advance, then amelia just toggles the live buffer recorder at the right time - love this low stress technique)
  • also our harmonium out of frame

Wow, amazing performance! Some how this is my first time hearing Sylvan Esso :scream_cat:

Edit: Just finished watching ‘Sylvan Esso - WITH: Live Concert Film’ and I’m hooked. I’ve definitely been living under a rock, so excited to listen to their entire catalog!

Just finished re-organizing my space. Will be upgraded with a proper stand for the eurorack and a 0-ctrl next week.

I just upgraded from the thumb-operated Logitech one I was using and it’s night and day! way easier on my hands.

I also like that you can assign a key command to dramatically slow the movement down, it makes drawing in automation in Pro Tools so precise. So with the macro keyboard I hit a button switch to pencil mode, click down, and then press a button that holds Shift+Ctrl+Opt+Cmd to slow the mouse down while I carefully draw it. Then when I release the button it sends Cmd+7 to switch me back to the Smart tool!

Gotta ask what keyboard you’ve got there. I find myself getting drawn into the mech keyboard community more lately. Just got in on a Preonic group buy. Hope I don’t regret the ortholinear commitment. :crossed_fingers:

Swapped to a planck a couple of months ago - absolutely no regrets, you’ll get used to it much quicker than you expect. It’s the perfect keyboard for a tiny studio corner!

More progress! Rackmounted the Serge today. So nice to have it at that angle and height. Perfect for patching seated and tweaking whilst recording.

Just need to figure out patchbay cabling now…

Looking great! What stands are you using for the Genelecs?

I’m relocating to a smaller place for a few months, and have been surprised to see how much the sidecar can hold - this will do!

Fluid DSS Monitor Stands, but they’re too big, really. The 8010s only just sit on top without falling through the hole!
