I’ve got Toga + Awake + touchOSC working very responsively using the Linux touchOSC client now, and with Midigrid running simultaneously by uncommenting line 2 in togagrid.lua just to confirm that works as well.

I just tested with my Android phone with new TouchOSC app and it works too.
(I was testing with Linux and iPad versions)

This is good to hear - I’m still pondering whether to spend the extra ten euros for v2 - v1 was always sluggish for me on Android, so I’m a bit wary of wasting yet more cash on something that won’t actually get used by me.

Great to hear that it works for others though.

Really loving this setup.
I ran into issues with some of the toggle buttons on mlr, and ended up looking into the issue. It was due to the LED’s being set to their max brightness from mlr.lua, which touchOSC viewed as the button being active, causing it to not register the toggle off.
Ended up spending some time adding some fun arc controls for mlr and this template that I’m cleaning up, can post the code if anyone wants.

I think it’s definitely doable, since new TouchOSC can send MIDI message including note-on and note-off messages. (They also feature a piano keyboard layout in official screenshots) However, transmitting MIDI between TouchOSC and norns might be tricky. I haven’t tried that myself and that was not my original goal either. My focus was to make grid + arc available without the actual official device (not to mention arc is unavailable at the moment), but MIDI keyboard is a different story.

Can you please explain how you fixed this? I’m trying toga with mlr but i have some issues on CUT mode. It’s like it doesn’t listen to the touch on the grid in this mode.

Hey! Sorry I’ve been on vacation, just got back. So with MLR I noticed the maiden console was saying it was trying to light LEDs that were off the toga grid, which effected its ability to receive inputs and update the leds properly. I made some modifications that seem to be working, I’ll send them along. I will say I did this while pretty new to Norns so hopefully this didn’t effect any other MLR functionality but it was working for me. I’ll post it to GitHub to link now

Well, this is tantalisingly close - awake + toga + TouchOSC up and running smoothly, on the first try - but only on my Windows 10 laptop…

Installed toga + TouchOSC, and configured on both my iPad, and my iPhone - but not a squeak.

I’m thinking:
1 Coffee, then
2 Restart the two iOS devices, re-check the configs and generally prod randomly at whatever settings I can find…

My iPad TouchOSC works fine with Awake but won’t play nice with Archologies or Buoys. Keeps doubling inputs, not sure where to proceed.

Anyone else with problems holding pads?
In animator, for example, the script doesn’t recognize holding one pad and pressing another.
