there is another solution that is very robust, for $15.

tested, highly recommended.

Hi Tehn, would you happen to know if this cable/adapter will allow me to use a rechargeable battery bank to power a four port USB 3.0 hub which doesn’t have an input for an external power adapter?

I want to avoid having to buy another USB hub, and would like to invest in a couple of the ground loop isolators instead. Do you know if they could be used to power any USB device at all, and are they just essentially splitting the data and the power connection?
