Using serialosc with OSCulator

Curious if anyone has tried to connect the OSX based OSC router “OSCulator” to the monome using serialoscd. There are some directions that work with Monomeserial. Getting it working with serialosc would require finding a way to first tell seriaoscd the listening port of OSCulator, which I haven’t yet figured out.

PS. I tried to declare the OSCulator host and port (8001) to serialoscd via netcat with the results:

Commands:

echo -en "/serialosc/list si localhost 8001" | nc -u localhost 12002
echo -en "/sys/port i 8001" | nc -u localhost 13809

Result from serialocd:

$ /usr/local/bin/serialoscd
serialosc [m128-195]: connected, server running on port 13809
serialosc: lo server error 9913 in (null): Invalid message path
serialosc: lo server error 9913 in (null): Invalid message path

there’s no way of doing this currently.

i’ve considered ways of having serialosc “register” non-grid ports, but it needs some design refinement.
