Not a problem. I just want to make sure I have the inputs… The more lines I get in… the better idea I have for this.

have we thought about themes and titles? given the season, how about something like “solstice: a lines compilation” or “lines001” – etc. what are your ideas?

@Angrycrow - apparently the program i used to draw my lines can’t ‘up’ the resolution.

whichever you like //////////////////////////////

I was going to go with “LCRP - Lines Community Remix Project”.

I mean. We can get wild with SVG files if people can make them. I’ll have to look into the dimensions of the print but usually it’s pretty detailed. Also I want to speak with my buddy who does these types of layouts all the time. Just to get a sense. I too am going with LRCP . Since that’s the name of the thread … and a nice home-warming project for us folks who migrated and are new to here. @Simeon what’s the delivery time looking like? And is there a track order in mind? I haven’t heard half of the submissions.

Hi! I can’t wait to listen to what other people made for this compilation. When is it going to be ready? Do we have a release date?

So here’s the deal - I’d been asked by a few regular collaborators for an extension, while the conversation about artwork was going on here, so I thought I’d hold off on collating everything until @angrycrow had submitted some artwork. To be honest, it’s Christmas and I’m just being lazy so thanks @Vagg_Rdu and @wednesdayayay for the much needed kick in the pants. :stuck_out_tongue:

@Angrycrow - I think you’ve probably got all the lines that are going to be submitted - If you can work with those and create something cool, then that’ll be nice. If not, I was just going to use a massive Lines logo for the cover and go minimalist. Get something to me in the next few days and we can use that.

@Everyone! - My next free evening to work on this is Tuesday 5th, so we’re going to call that the ABSOLUTE TOTALLY REAL FRIKKIN DEADLINE. Get it to me before around 6pm GMT on the 5th of Jan and it’s in.

Thanks for your patience dudes

really nice both of them! well done!

@Simeon Do you know if there are templates for this print service? I’ll take all the lines I have and make a thing over my next little break. But I do like the idea of using the Lines logo a lot… Depending on the cover I may be able to do both. … looking into it now…

No idea - have a look at the QRATES website. Bandcamp just takes a high res png.

Templates are on the FAQ page on the qrates site.

Hmm… Should make a PNG of this just for show. I like where this idea went… More lines… more lines… hmm…
Uploading…
Also I want to probably use Mobbs and Wednesdayayay for the A/B labels… because they’re very careful and good res… Let me know what you think of this file.

Looks nice and clean.

Is the second line missing/mixing up some words? @Angrycrow

Yea. I started scrambling and recombining the words… kinda like the project itself. but also to get that shape that would show up on the front ( right ) side of the template. I’m almost done with a pass of the label sides. I’m using way fewer lines than I thought I would. But I think it’ll come across very strong when it’s all cut out and glued on.

Also have the sides A and B. I think the lines work. And the cutting from the template should prove some crazy good results… Just have to get the simulation up… Also something I can probably do this morn…

lovely work!
Post must be at least 20 characters long.

We’ll need to amend some artist names on that, but other than that, sound.
