I got mine way back in batch #2 (still first production run but held back for firmware fixes iirc) and do not believe that there was anything recorded on it after getting through the tutorial.

Okay, that’s strange. Especially since the samples on the tape were pretty random synth sounds that sounded more like someone tried out the module…

And I actually just now discovered the tutorial. This is insane, a 2HP module with such a minimal UI and it even comes with an interactive tutorial! That definitely made up for the bit of frustration I’ve been having so far. Hope to get things working soon!

The videos and online cheat sheet can can be a real help in understanding what w/ is doing and when.

Yes, the tutorial video was really helpful when I was thinking about wether I should buy the module or not.

And I actually like the sometimes a bit sparse and obscure manuals of the Mannequins modules. It kind of makes learning and discovering the module a very playful (and sometimes pleasantly confusing) experience. But of course the in-depth technical maps are also a great resource if you really want to understand what’s going on.

@lsky I can’t believe I’m saying this but I finally fixed it! Spent a while today trying to figure out what was going on- I tried reformatting the original SD card and it never worked :frowning: (might have been inputting some commands wrong or the sd might just be corrupted). I thankfully had another 2gb sd card lying around and reformatted that and it worked!!

Same here. There wasn’t anything on my w/ except for the tutorial, which wasn’t accessible as audio.

I’ve also tried reformatting the original SD card and flashing the official image, but no luck so far… I also checked the card with badblocks and did not find any corrupted blocks on the disk.

By the way, is it normal, that the two PCBs are not aligned in parallel but slightly tilted towards each other? It’s my first 2HP module, so I have no idea how things are supposed to look like…
