…thanks to Lucia Sunscreem for the heads up on this one, it had completely passed me by even though the world and her sister have known about it for months…

I’ve watched several of his videos, not sure why it didn’t occur to me to check for actual albums until now.

Gotta check this one out! The whole album is astonishingly pretty, but this song stuck with me.

this is fascinating… it’s also humiliating / humbling, as i’m realizing just how little i know about the Lines community, its history, and the individuals who have contributed (and are contributing) here. a bit sleep-deprived–no doubt this is a rich insight into the thoughts and processes of various people who’ve been and who are actively involved here … the music is excellent, as well. having difficulty expressing my gratitude for the existence of this place right now. feeling fortunate to be here

My friends just released their new record, and it is certain to be one of my favorite things of 2019. Metal-adjacent music on a predominately metal label, with more synths and less outwardly-“metal” elements than their previous releases. Recommended for fans of classic 4AD, David Sylvian, and the dearly departed likes of Scott Walker, Mark Hollis, and David Bowie.

Michael Hoenig - Departure From The Northern Wasteland LP. John Coulthart posted this on Twitter yesterday, so I had to dig it out again for another spin. Probably my fave so called ‘Berlin School’ album of German experimental electronic music from the 1970s. This is an original Japanese “Sample” sticker version (test press?), on the Warner label from 1978. I found it in a little second hand record shop near our old apartment in Yokohama about 15 years ago!
