The new album by Lea Bertucci is pretty great. Recommended if you like Ellen Arkbro or Kali Malone. (Very obvious comparisons but hey.)

Having listened to this on and off for about thirty years, in contexts that might emphasise more of the fun and less of the talent, I think I’d like to offer the Stretchin’ Out In Bootsy’s Rubber Band album as a work of genius. Probably overshadowed by some of the other Parliament/Funkadelic stuff - it’s that whole crew at the absolute top of their game surely?

Quiet Signs by Jessica Pratt
It’s the best album I’ve heard in years — torn between telling others and keeping it to myself

l8st addiction as I float higher in this neon candy bubble … the lyrical content could be better but why should it??
Top vocal treatments
Been listening to The Caretaker quite a bit recently - something very soothing about his disintegrating bliss hazes in what often seems like end times.

Really great stuff, early 90s emo rock? No idea what the correct genre is. Reminds me a bit of New Order.
I’ve listened to his first album (which was performed on a Buchla system) many times and loved it, but I’d missed this one until now. This one is done on a Lyra-8 and is absolutely fantastic IMHO.
