Really loved Richard Lainharts “Cranes fly west” and “White nights “ on Bandcamp but had missed this one, first track rolling right now and it’s superb. http://xirecords.bandcamp.com/album/ten-thousand-shades-of-blue

I have tinnitus and invariably listen to music when getting to sleep. I tried some TD but it just keeps me awake - there’s far too much going on for me to have to try to ignore!

Nice! I’ve been tempted to run things through a pair of matching dictaphones, pitching it down time after time - this is like a less hissy, digital version!

Tinnitus is no fun.
When it comes to falling asleep, I usually listen to podcast/talk/interview about somethint that I am interested in, yet is also slightly boring to listen to.

Yeah, that’s a good call - I don’t want to pick on people but naming names, but, depending on the guests, some podcasts I listen to are chosen particularly because the host has a slightly boring or monotonous delivery.

I’m presently obsessed with random late night listening to documentaries on the crazy,1970s lifestyle and decline through drug abuse of Elvis Presley for some really weird reason lol and I have absolutely no idea why.
Its usually Presley’s associates and friends who are talking in the videos, I start off watching them but inevitably drop off after a while… There’s also something about Elvis’ speaking voice I find that’s oddly reassuring…
On second thoughts, maybe I should just go to see the doctor myself for an explanation hehe.

I often listen to the audio version of books that I’ve already read and put it on a sleep timer. I listened to some Cormac McCarthy that way, the entirety of A Song of Ice and Fire, and more recently began Dune.

My favorite sleeping music lately is any of Benoît Pioulard’s ambient material, his latest is a perfect example

love the Klik & Frik Remix – Coro Qom Chelaalapi meets Lagartijeando
And have to say a shoutout to local DJ/legend Stinky Jim who apart from doing an excellent show every week on BFM also publishes a tracklist with bandcamp links for every track played!
Wish every DJ did this
