Had Plaid’s latest album on many times over the last few days. I think it’s one of their best (and sounds incredible).

I have to agree there - to my ears it’s among the best Plaid have released, and I love the sounds / production as well.
(Plus I ordered the “AI generated” companion comic book which is… quite trippy akshully)
Count me among instant fans as well, superb and FUN sounding stuff.

Not at all, now that you mention it!

When we left for the gig, my friends son shouted at him “Enjoy your out of tune bagpipe music!”

Might seem a bit ridiculous (especially the video title cover) but this Playstation1 jungle mix is so good, I’m kind of shocked.
Pretty nice to listen to while working, favorite so far is BGM16 at 25:02 and 4(ronaldo v-football) at 27:07

Richard Youngs just put this out on Longform, it’s a real gem - stilted and spacious, very zoney but also precise.

It’s one of those albums that I don’t play too often, but when I do, I think “I should play this more”!
Today I was inspired to give it another spin after reading this essay in The Quietus
I’ve been stuck in a rut with my listening recently (Brian Eno, Burial and my own recent album
) so hearing JC again is a real boost!

Wish I lived “over there!”
I had a bit of a fascination with the old tracks as a result of love of Celtic music and myth in my 20s.
Also some of the Hillage tunes and vibes were pointing in that direction…
Must travel again when family circumstances allow
Thanks @Helen for the Cope reminder, he’s one that I always meant to spend time with…
