What to do with two empty Eurorack rows (without adding more modules)?

I’ve successfully downsized my Eurorack setup from over eight rows to only two. This leaves me with two empty rows in my stationary synth closet:

The thing is that I custom-made this modular synth frame and the right side with the Eurorack is not 19" rack width, so 19" rack equipment (like the CGS Serge on the left side) barely won’t fit in there. So what should I do with those two 84hp-ish wide and 10cm deep rows? I do not want to add more Eurorack again obviously :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

My Klangbau Köln Eurorack sits nicely in the top two rows though, so I don’t want to get rid of the whole frame either. I wouldn’t mind taking out the rails and the bus boards of course and I’m not afraid of more DIY. So, I don’t know, if there’s a cool, functional DIY project hiding in here, let me know. Maybe some cable drawers? :yum:

Maybe a nice bookshelf?

Oh, good idea! I don’t own many books anymore, but I could use a cassette shelf! :+1:

Maybe some half-rack outboard equipment, if you want/need any?

I’ll advertise for a friend  (but you could make your own) . I’ve always fancied doing a 2x 84hp
Escher Metamorphosis blank…

Actually, I could really use a patch bay. I somehow keep buying and selling them without learning that I will miss them eventually.

How cool would that be! A snake in a little desert themed Terrarium with warm light, right under snakey modular synth patches!

Ha! A blank row looking like a window into a room with a wall of modules :stuck_out_tongue:
