@coreyr not yet! next release.
development update: i’ve been working on the “edit” feature - the ability to edit a slot directly in the tracker, use the arrows to move to different slots. it has evolved into a lot include a complete refactor of the terminal (so that the text input stuff is reusable) and will ultimately lead to some much deeper architectural work.
live code:
some doodles:
Yggdrasil is on a very different evolutionary path than arcologies. this is fun. you may be wondering why i haven’t made a bunch of tutorial videos yet. it is because Yggdrasil is not yet close enough to my vision to commit its current state for posterity.
this “editor” feature will probably bring with it v1.1.0 and a suite of more granular controls in Y Mode (insert slots, moving slots, copy and pasting slots). once these features are done - along with some more terminal-y things (&&, $1 = foo bar, a “.yggrc”) - it will be video time. thank you for reading.

Thank you for working so hard on this and making an awesome musical tool!
Is it just me not getting a trigger out of crow? v/o but not trigger
Was working for me last night on 1.0.6
yeah that should be fixed now. lemme know if the latest version is being fussy
@leolodreamland
im having the same issue - no triggers/gates just CV, on 1 and 3 outs. this is with v6,7 and 8. I did this: 1 clade;crow 2 clade;crow 1 crow;pair;1 2 crow;pair;2
What is strange about this is i can get a gate if i start in a certain sequential order. Switch on, insert note, start the sequencer, then 1 clade;crow - then i get a gate from crow 2. Then, insert note on channel 2; sequencer still running, then 2 crow;pair2 to get a gate from crow 4
NEW Parameter to set default row/column numbers (the “hud”) state.
thank you!
a small thing 1 clock;0 kills the channel clock but can’t be restarted when changing back to 1
Yeah with the latest version!
@mlogger @leolodreamland would you be wiling to try running this crowtest script and let me know if tests 1 and 2 works? crowtest.lua (4.1 KB)
I would but I can’t seem to sftp into it from cyberduck anymore. Yes I have the latest update 201115
can you connect via http://norns.local/maiden? then you can make a file and copy and paste it in.
Ok seems to work ok.
Skew test at least giving levels and pitches no problem. Edit: Envelope test giving nothing though. No jf attached.
are you on crow 2.0.0? https://github.com/monome/crow/releases/tag/v2.0.0
Yes. Can hook it up to m4l to check exact fware…
It’s working fine with orca. Also with the branch that supports W/syn
v1.0.9
thanks to @synthetivv, @dan_derks, & @license for the help here.
apologies and thanks to @leolodreamland and @mlogger for the patience and the bugs. i think we got it now.
Hmmm seems exactly the same here.
i can get it working but its very particular on the sequence you do things. I’m pretty sure this a crow i2c setup issue and depends what you have on your i2c line. Anything that could conflict on the i2c line is switched off in the settings and i make sure no script running on Teletype that could conflict with JF. I have Orcas Heart and Ansible on the same bus with i2c turned off.
what i do for my setup is this :
i think the default clade crow in parameters should default to separate pairs or have different options - similar to the Crow settings in Less Concepts script where you can choose a pair that default to Channel 1 and Channel 2. Maybe all the channel settings for midi/crow/jf/synth setup should be done from the parameter section instead of the command line. So you have a default preset template saved. Having to do that manually each time and loading a .txt file per channel each time is slow going. I would love to have 1 master preset that saves everything on the screen including the parameters section.
another random thought…- the ability to load presets (random ones?) from cells would be very interesting as well as regular command line preset loading.
yeah i’d say it’s an initialisation thing too. i mean i don’t even get cv until i hard reset the modular. i haven’t tried @mlogger’s method yet. i have teletype going into crow then crow into w/. this is so i can control w/ with either.
Its worth having a blank Teletype script that automatically loads up when you first boot up your modular, so there’s no conflict. Then once crow / norns starts, load up what you want on Teletype after. i’ve had a few issues with this since Crow v2 and the latest JF.
