ReSlice only lets you work with one file at a time. However, you can load and run multiple instances of ReSlice in AUM with different files.

Yes! I LOVE iVCS3 but totally haven’t considered using it as an effects plugin! What seems impossible is apparently true: it’s even better than I already thought it was!

I recently decided to pick up AUM to integrate my iPad with my 104hp euro skiff. Unfortunately I’m running into some connection problems between my Arturia Keystep, iConnectivity Audio 2+, and my rack (Midi2CV is the gateway). What’s the best way to set up/connect the interface and Keystep so I can control control everything and use midi channels on the keyboard to swap from soft synth to modular? Should I use a powered usb hub or has anyone had better luck going Keystep midi out > iConnectivity midi in > (iPad) > iConnectivity midi out?

Oooh, someone at work is selling their 1st gen iPad Pro (the 12.9" model) for a very reasonable price, would this have enough CPU to run the stuff in this thread? I’m currently running on the iPhone:

  • AUM
  • Xynthesizr
  • Noatikl 3
  • Blamsoft’s AU effects
  • K7D
  • DLYM
  • Loopfield
  • Autony
  • DRC
  • AudioShare

I guess I would be adding at least Ripplemaker, Enso, and a couple of others mentioned in the thread.

Cheers!

I’m wondering now if I could use the Zoom U-24 to connect a nakedboards MC24 to my ipad. Probably? Seemingly?

I don’t see why not. Looks like you’d need a 3.5mm to 5 pin midi adapter between the MC24 and U24.

This is the model I have and I have never had it come close to struggling with anything I throw at it. You should have no issues.

I didn’t even know that was a connection possibility. It doesn’t seem to mention if it comes with such a connector, but I’ll shoot them an electro-mail.

Is anyone using a Roli Block with their iOS setup &, if so, what are you using it with? I have a Block M and I’m really impressed with it, but don’t really want to be restricted to NOISE. I’m also debating whether I really need it when I have a QuNexus which is also capable of MPE

FWIW the iConnectAUDIO4+ is on sale at Perfect Circuit for $254.99 delivered. It advertised as “in stock and ready to ship” but now my receipt says “more expected soon” but still, that price.

UPDATE: They shipped the same day! Woo!

I had a similar infatuation, including Mira for Max. I aspired to make multitouch x/y controllers in each of them, then got bogged down. That was a few years ago now. Recently, I’ve started having warm thoughts again, esp. about Lemur, potentially as a large® format controller for audio effects while I’m playing viola. Not sure if I’ll actually dive back into that (it has some advantages over Mira, apart from it’s visual attractiveness), but it’s been on my mind of late.

yes, many ways to do it…:
and imho a touch screen controller seems congruent with a 'west coast aesthetic TC-Data by Bit Shape

How is the audio quality compared to the native VoiceMemo? Obviously both are limited by the mic. Are there also other reasons why it’s better than VM? It’s obviously not a huge $ layout, but I already have so many apps (music and other wise) that are, uhm, “less used than might be…”

Apesoft is a great team, i suggest iDensity too, it makes incredible textures

Has anyone tried the Quicco Sound Mi.1e 0|8 Bluetooth CV Interface. I really like the idea seems like a great tool. I’d be worried about the future, if the company stops making updates it could become obsolete.

I have one (for sale actually) and it’s pretty dope. Can use the app to control it from the ipad, or set it up with the ipad and just use it to transmit midi via bluetooth from whatever you connect to the ipad. It’s pretty straightforward to use, and they’ve updated it fairly consistently (so far).

Wow. Thats nuts. Does this thing work well?

All those apps and their audio / midi over to BT to cv? Oh the times we live in…

Edit: oh does this not send MIDI from anywhere, just its own application? Still pretty amazing.

you can route midi through the app from other devices, but yeah you do have to have the app on

Can you have it on in the background?

can anyone suggest an app that facilitates fast, intuitive modulation sequencing or looping of modulation gestures?

i’m basically looking for something like triq traq - but for sending midi cc + notes instead of manipulating audio.

or like ribn, but with clock sync, variable clock div/mult… kinda like 4ms peg but with hand drawn functions…
