How are you interfacing Patterning with your modular?

what reverbs are you all using? preferrably auv3.

I seem to have a collection of them from relatively traditional reverbs like Bleass to more experimental ones like FDN Reverb …but am still probably going to finally grab Eventide Black Hole now it’s 30% off

I usually use my Hermod plus a few iOS MIDI apps to map things the way I like, but also have used my ES-8.

I’ve tried loading gate samples into Patterning 2, and then mapping the Patterning outputs to ES-8 outputs in AUM, with some success.

Why not use the Mira app?

It probably goes without saying, but almost all the apps you could care to buy are on sale currently. I’ve added Auria at half price, completed my -scaper collection, grabbed the Eventide Blackhole, picked up Synthjacker & got a gang of Beepstreet and Amazing Noises/Apesoft apps. Probably more too. I stockpiled a few gift cards in preparation …and now I’m going to hibernate.

That’s just a controller, right? I’m talking about actually building patches; iPad as a laptop replacement type stuff.

I’ve been wondering about Auria also. My spending on the BF sales has been more restrained than last year but I did buy the Korg Electribe Wave now it’s gone AuV.

All Bram Bos apps are $3.99 right now. If you don’t already have Mozaic or Rozeta, they are highly recommended sequencers.

The thing that swung it for me was discovering that the Lyra synth within Auria opens EXS files. I’ve been able to load my Puremagnetik instruments on the iPad now and it’s an absolute joy! It took a bit of messing around with file structures to get the instruments in the format Lyra was expecting but, having done that, the Files app and USB stick functionality means that it’s very straightforward to copy them to the right place on the iPad.

And Ripplemaker, an excellent port of the 0-Coast.

I need to properly get into this - I’ve done very little with it so far aside from tweak the presets.

Thanks. I have the other, but didn’t realize this was on sale. I enjoy purchasing software from the back seat of a car on a family vacation while using my phone as a modem.

Could one feasibly make a MIDIfx envelope follower with Mosaic?

If you’re talking about generating a CC envelope on reception of an incoming note, I think that’s possible. I haven’t coded anything myself, though. I’ve just been downloading patches from Patch Storage.

Heads up: Nanostudio 2 is 70% off at the moment, or $6.

Maybe envelope follower is the wrong word.

I mean generating a MIDI event (cc, gate etc) if an incoming audio signal passes a vol threshold…or generates a value depending on decibel level…

Ah, no, I don’t believe that it has an audio input.

NanoStudio 2 at that price is a bargain - audio or not! I do like it for its functionality but I dislike the GUI and, despite trying many times, it just doesn’t click with me. Daft I know but…

Just did a search and found this AUv3 envelope follower: http://fredantoncorvest.com/FAC_Envolver.html
