The one I am using is iRig MIDI 2

Ok just looked at one online— so lightning cable into your iPad, midi cable into whatever hardware midi you have, irig should show up as a midi source/destination in AUM

Yeah that is working I was just wondering how to set clock out from iRig in time with what I am playing in my iPad so as to sync that with external gear

In AUM tap the bpm in upper left then tap the 3 dots and you can have aum send out midi clock

AUM can be tough to learn because there are so many hidden functions to discover, but the manual is really quite thorough.

Hi,
I’m curious if there’s an iOS app I may be overlooking to accomplish this.

Basically a simple mixer, 10 faders or so, sample on each fader with ability to have the sample looped or one shot.
play and stop buttons.

Essentially a way to mix samples.

Have AUM and think it’s overkill and not happy with the file playback options.

Anything simple out there that can do this?

thanks in advance!

You should be looking at groovebox apps as opposed to mixer/daw

You can load samples into Loopy HD with Audioshare. Not faders, but that might work for you?

maybe the launchpad app?

I’d use Beatmaker3 for something like this. Looped samples or one shots would all be very easy to handle per drum cell.

Good luck!

thanks. I have loopy hd but find it difficult in a live situation to fiddle with the volume controls for each sample.
Really some long throw faders is what I’m after.
thanks though!

I’d absolutely never considered this!

Hi guys, which are the best drum machines for the iPad?

Patterning 2 and elastic drums are my favorites. Egoist is fun and sometimes I use vatanator.

Beatmaker 3 is a beast and I prefer it over Maschine or MPC

There are so many. I’ve been playing Ruismaker FM today. I also dig SeekBeats.

Drumjam. You can’t program beats, but it is by far the most fun. The soloing pads are incredible.

I really enjoy Ruismaker Noir if I’m lazily looking for a beat. It has a ‘Random’ button for both the drum synth and the patterns and if you mash on them a few times you quickly arrive at something interesting. Also fun is the Replicant 2 effect plugin. It’s kind of like beat-repeat in Ableton.

I can’t find a download for the es-9 audulus module anywhere. Did you make it yourself? Can you link me, please?

Also this is so awesome.

Yes, I modified the existing ES-8 module that ships with Audulus. Here’s the patch:

ES-9.audulus (11.7 KB)
